I have WQAM on in the background of my computer and they just said that David Bowens was carted off the field today. Anybody know if it is serious?

Also said that David Boston didn't participate in the 11 on 11 drills and coach Saban wouldn't say why. Though there is a Boston PC on the official site following the pracitce so it would seem he is ok.

Don't know anything about Bowens though.

Looked like cramps, hes been struggling with the heat all week. But he has adapted well to the scheme and has been doing a nice job.

I *thought* I heard the guy say it was cramps and wasn't thought to be serious.

He might have, I have it on pretty low as background noise and all I heard was David Bowens carted off. That is why I was asking for clarification.

i don't want to see any players go down this year... especially boston - he is the player i'm most excited about seeing this year

I think its critical Boston shows up this year, with him in the line-up the defensive coordinators cannot double team easily on Chambers or McMicheal. It speaks back to the basics of offense in terms of balance.

Just heard it was just cramps! He will be ok.

Other Notes:

- Manuel Wright is now wearing a red jersey and is practicing a bit

- Donald Lee still looks like crap and is dropping everything

- Vonnie Holliday and Seau are close to returning

- McDougle was back at practice today

- Jeno James returns on monday

- Feeley had an amazing throw to Chambers that went over Bua and Tillman.

Although I agree with you that having Boston in the line up helps better balance the passing attack. I think the main thing that will take the double teams away from Chambers and McMicheal will be the RBs. The defense will give them a lot of attention and would rather put the ball in AJ and Gus' hands and let either of them try to win the game throwing, instead of RW and Ronnie running.

Yup. They won't be blitzing every freaking down and the passing game will be there with man coverage if the QB can just deliver. It will be pick your poison.
