David Carr Available??

so they dont pay Carr, a good young QB, but they will then have to pay an unknown rookie a 20 mil. signing bonus. i dont think so.

the Texans have so few tallented players on that team, they can not afford to let those players go.

8 mil sounds like a lot, but hes good, and they have to pay him.

they should pay Carr, trade down in the draft (cus they will be at #2 overall) and select skilled position players, and sign some FA O-Lineman. Carr can not wait 2 or 3 years for a rookie lineman to develop.

they should pay Carr, trade down, and get picks.

Bills guy is absolutely right. They may make a good trading partner for us

Well, if thats true, there is going to be a lot of teams in the hunt for a QB this offseason.

Miami, Houston, Jets, Oakland, New Orleans, and maybe even Green Bay again. Which would send the bidding for Phillip Rivers through the roof and make it harder for us to snatch one up in the draft.

do you think the fins would trade away that many draft picks to the #2 spot? i dont know about that.

i do think a major trade up will take place this year.

if Greenbay does get a QB, it will be a 1 year thing, nothing long term.

though the jets may definatly be looking for a new QB. Pennington's arm is a very large question mark right now.

i will add, the Bears and Ravens as teams who could also be looking for a new QB.

teams looking for a QB, miami, houston (if they let carr go which i think they will), oakland, new orleans, buffalo, maybe TB depending on simms last games this year, minnesota (culpepper was on his way out before the injury), detroit, baltimore. i cannot see many teams in the running for rivers, a 3 year "veteran" with zero experience

Houston will take Reggie Bush with that #1 pick over all unless another team offers them something they can't refuse.

Id cross Buffalo and Minnesota off that list, but I would add Detroit and maybe Baltimore if Boller doesnt step it up.

Doesn't Green Bay have Aaron Rodgers, who many predicted to be among the top of the draft last year? Haven't heard much about him.

It appears that if the Texans remain as the first pick in the draft, the Texans may keep that $8 million instead of giving Carr the bonus, and tell him to hit the road.

I think he has been the most sacked QB over the past three years so he will think our O-line is pro-bowl calibre by comparison.:rofl3:

They still need a vet stopgap to fill in for Favre/transition to Rogders.
