I have read some reports that David Carr might be avalible for a 3rd RD pick. Especially since Plummer is on the way out in Denver, and Kubiak is the coach in Houston. Did you think he would be worth a look? I feel we should at least give him a look. I think hes been in a bad situation in Houston and he definitly has potenial. Thoughts...

Not for a draft pick. He's had enough opportunity to prove himself that parting with a first day pick isn't worth the risk.

If Kubiak signs Plummer, Carr will be cut. You want need to trade for him.

Bring him in if it doesnt cost us a pick. He could be a great QB if given the time to throw. Houston has never had an even close to decent o-line. Their o-line makes ours look like probowlers.

The same thing was said about Harrington in Detroit...

:rolleyes2 Carr is a ****load better then Joey. I don't think they'll give up on him yet.

And Fiedler, and Ray Lucas, and Feeley.

I like Carr - is he another JH - not sure. I'd give a conditional pick for him though. He could still be a franchise guy. NO way does Houston just cut him. There is also no way we keep our 3 QB's going into next year. Cleo cannot be #3. If you bring in a Carr do you get rid of C-Pep and JH? You might as well offer up C-Pep for him because you couldn't keep him if you traded for Carr. Doesn't make sense and WHY would Kubiak possibly want Plummer - he sucks!

Last year I woulda have said in a second.. It seems like last year he was just a dud.. maybe he just needs a new home. I mean cmon.. He got sacked more than anyone ever a season or 2 back..

and i dont this David Carr = Joey Harrington is a fair assesment. Carr has a wayyyyyyy better arm than Joey..

Take a look at Carr when/if he is cut. We have to stop giving away draft picks for players who will be cut later, save some cap space. Draft players and then fill in around them not draft to fill holes left after free agents.

I wouldnt count on him to be the franchise guy, but if he wants to come in as a backup and try to earn the starting spot then I'd give him a chance.
Kinda like Harringtons situation, but Carr is much better than Harrington IMO
