Dolphins Onwer Stephen Ross raised eyebrows on Monday when he speculated quaterback Matt Moore would get the nod over rookie Ryan Tannehill as the team's week 1 starter. Ross' candor was a surpise to many, likely most of all David Garrard, who believed he had a shot at the No. 1 spot when he signed with Miami in March. Hopefully when Garrard wins the job, Ross will realize that he doesn't have a good handle on these type of things which will hopefully lead to him remaining silent

garrad is obviously the more talented player. Too bad he won't have any weapons on offense here either. He's a pretty top tier game manager while moore is just a bum.

What do you call Bush, Miller, Clay, Fasano, Bess, and a surprise receiver this year??? You really believe none or our 15 + receivers will step up to find at least 2 or 3 good ones???

Lighting a fire under the ass of the seemingly forgotten QB.

Ah the happy accident.

So why did NFL.com leave out the question for the 1st answer. What was the question if i had to guess, it was in some form or way about when his 1st round rookie QB was going to start.

It'll be nice for a change that there will be a legitimate TC competition for the best performing QB to win it instead of being annointed the starter. Hey may the best QB win - although aside from health, there's really not that much difference between them:

Garrard:
39-37 (51.3% of his starts)for teams those years that went 64-62(50.8%)
vs.
Moore
13-12 (52.0%) for teams those years that went 23-41(38.5% winning).

I believe that their QBRs are within about 5pts of each others and both have a nice TD/Int ratio

So on one hand you can make the case that Garrard who has had a few nice years uplifted his team which may or may not have been decent but also can make the case all around that Moore has uplifted his definitely bad - mediocre teams.

We didn't end the last half of the season too badly with Moore; if Garrard can beat him out and proves an upgrade, then there's a good chance we'll improve on the high note we ended with.
