I'm left here wondering why we haven't pursued him more from the Jags...his stats are moderate because of limited game experience
http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/302027
Anyone that has seen him play has probably been impressed, though.

There have been rumors about the jags looking at Gordon, well what about some sort of trade where we would get garrard? I'm a big Feeley fan, but this guy really impressed me and it searches me why we haven't at least looked at him?

because he's not on our team, and in the nfl play for player trades are unheard of most the time. and saban loves his draft picks. we'd never be able to get him for a reasonable asking price.

oh, sorry...haven't seen those :(

It's no biggie. I just thought you'd be interested in reading them.

All tho i wouldnt nessecarily be against it....i think its time we draft our QB if Feeley doesnt work out this year.

hey jimi i see you changed your avatar , did you get burned out on the legion of rock and roll ? I hope that we give sage a chance to play a little bit if his throws are accurate then lets get him on the field before we trade for anmore qbs. i dont know why but we sure have gone through 10 qbs lately at least 3rd teamers anyways.

I read or heard somewhere in the late spring (?) that we were interested in trading for him, but we didnt like the price.

O no, still a big Hendrix fan. Im also a Kanye fan as well and Jimis already in my sig so jus thot id put em both in there.

The more Ronnie Brown holds out, the more unlikely this trade is. I doubt we would trade for a QB without a significant poriton of camp left because we don't need another QB at this point (Garrard would not be a significant upgrade at this time, although he does have upside). Although I must say, if Garrard turns into a great QB (somewhere besides Jax), it would seem foolish that we didn't trade our 3rd string runner because of 4 games that RW will miss in a year that is primarily a rebuilding year.

This is the third thread on the same subject in as many days yet no one has given a link to anything that substantiates this rumor. Why do want another backup QB.?

At some point hasn't every QB been a backup QB?

What does being a back up has to do with anything. If a player can play then they can play & it does not matter where they come from.

At this point, Garrard will still need some time to develop himself into the starting role. Although he has potential, I don't think he would be better than AJ or Gus because he doesn't know our offense and hasn't started enough to really get experienced, therefore he would probably have some growing pains. I think Garrard has a lot of potential, and it's a shame that Jacksonville spent a first rounder on leftwich a year after Garrard was drafted, in the second I believe.
