David Gerrard released by Jagoffs

I wonder if they tried to trade him, and it resulted in no offers..

I like Garrard, wouldn't mind him being in the mix down here at all.

I could see him in Indy.

Garrard is definitely not garbage . . . stop gap, yes . . . but thats what Pennington was as well. Garrard is better than most of the garbage we have trotted out on the field since Marino's retirement. Miami should definitely take a look.

per NFL network just now. An acorn just fell from the tree. I don't think the fins will nab him however.
Speaking of an acorn, a lemon just fell from another tree, as in Cleo Lemon was just released by the Toronto Argonauts. However, I also doubt the fins will nab him.

someone will pick him up, he is better than half these garbage azz starting QBs in the league. dolphins could use him...

I would of jumped on it a month ago when it was brought up. Now? Not so much. Not even as a backup. If Henne fails, I'd much rather see what we have with Moore. No interest in trotting out a stopgap to try and salvage our season by getting us 7-8 wins should Henne fail.

Exactly... this guy would guarantee us being average... not even elite nor below average. we need to be one or the other. tired of being average. i want a ****ing QB so if that's Henne then so be it, if it's not then we are looking at Barkley Jones and Luck. But with Garrard here we're guaranteed picking 12-18....

Yea I feel the same way . . . it really depends on how bad the Fins think Henne is. They can't think he is that bad because they would have done more to address the position . . . knowing the leash has gotten tighter and shorter this year. If Garrard had Jville in the playoff race all of those years, I don't see why he couldn't come to Miami and do the same for us, however in the end, I don't think Garrad is a good enough QB to take us where we all want to go . . . then again, neither is Palmer or Orton, but that is my opinion. I just would ride with Henne/Moore and bring in new blood next year if need be.

Same people saying no to Gerrard probably said the same thing about Pennington. If Ireland and Sparano give him a look, I'm all for it.
