Jan 12, 2012 - The Buffalo Bills have a new quarterbacks coach. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the team is in the process of hiring David Lee to the position. Lee was the Ole Miss offensive coordinator last season and spent three years previously with the Miami Dolphins as quarterbacks coach.
Lee will now start working with Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who signed a long-term deal with the team last season. Fitzpatrick completed 62 percent of his passes last season for 3,832 yards. He threw for 24 touchdowns and a league-leading 23 interceptions.
Clearly, improving Fitzpatrick's decision-making will be one of the key parts of Lee's hire considering the Bills are fully invested in Fitzpatrick via a six-year, $59 million contract signed last season.
Lee's time in Miami came during the rise of the Wildcat so you have to wonder if you see anything like that in Buffalo next season.

You can definitely feel the Bills and Jets stock going down. Sell sell sell!

I thought he did a great job developing Chad Henne, John Beck and Pat White...

Wow they hired the worst qb coach ever lol more good news for fins

Even during our downtimes, there's an intra-conference fascination with our discards and trash. Is the franchise's aura still that magnetic?

Lmfao!!!! David Lee?! The same guy who ruined Henne's life? Lmfao!!!!

Guess we're going to start seeing some more Wildcat up in Buffalo...

They ran it quite a bit on 3rd and short..and Brad Smith never passed out of it once..Which was kind perplexing? I really dont think they will run it more since Gailey is still calling the plays. If your gonna run it you have to throw the ball once in a while or just use it in short yardage..Thats why it wore its welcome out here in Miami....

I'm wondering if the Tuna has a gill in all these rather questionable hires of certified failures and underqualified Fins washouts like Tony, Pasqualoni and now David ****ing Lee. ESPN has been aiding and abetting him, especially Keyshawn Johnson in his campaign to make it look like he turned the team around and it only went to hell in a handbasket after he was physically out the door. Which of course is bull**** on about 5 different fronts.

I'm thinking maybe he's called in some favors to have teams he's familiar with like Tannenbaum and Chan hire these people he hand chose to give the impression they were misused after his departure. Pasqualoni hooked up right away with Dallas (now univ of CT) and Tony and Lee's hires are just too quick and close to home for it all
to be happenstance IMO. Who's next, Henning? (FWIW, Bonamego was apparently so awful that it appears he's still unemployed).

You guys blame Lee for Henne and Beck? What happend when Tom Clements coached JP Losman?

I didn't think Lee would get a job outside the Sun Belt Conference.
