The Dolphins got something of a scare this week when the University of Mississippi came calling about talking to quarterback coach David Lee about their offensive coordinator job.

Lee was the offensive coordinator for Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt when the two were at the University of Arkansas. Although Lee remains a candidate, he has not interviewed and a television station in Tulsa reported Dave Rader is expected to get the job.

The Clarion-Ledger is reporting Rader hasn't gotten the job quite yet so one must assume anything can happen. I'll keep you updated.
Man, I hope we don't lose Lee. :ohno:

Crap... he's going to be our OC next season. He better not leave and screw things up.

Im sure the F/O will do something if they really dont want him to go, maybe they'll make some deal with him about being OC in the very near future.

The Colts OC is Tom Moore right? How can that guy have been with that team for what seems like 300 years without a chance of someone else signing him as their coach or OC?

It seems like it's always the Phins staff who gets picked like apples

Peyton Manning Calls alot of the plays.

Because the Colts OC is Peyton Manning... Tom Moore just makes suggestions

Yea but if Lee leaves that opens the door to have Chad Pennington be our Qb coach..

why did Monte Kiffin or the late Jim Johnson never leave their co-ordinator positions? there probably wasn't a better job for those guys. to be honest, Tom Moore IMO has one of the easiest jobs in the NFL.

Aside from innovating the WC, which is a biggie, and a familiarity with our offense, what qualifies Lee to have this glow about him suggesting confidence he'll step up to be a good pro OC??? I'm not saying he necessarily doesn't, just asking.

No, we better not let him leave, and by that I mean if he considers leaving, we have to throw Henning on his *** immediately and give the job to Lee.. Henning is not the future, Lee CAN be the future.

I for one love how he works with Henne and the carisma they seem to have together. Every single time henne comes off the field, he either goes to Lee, or Lee goes to him.

Peyton Manning is the OC. Besides if you saw what Tony Dungy said, the Colts call the same play about 15 times per game. And it's usually very successful. I guess only successful if Peyton is your quarterback. Tom Moore has the best job in the world, giving suggestions and still make millions. Once Peyton retires he should retire too.

Pennington is not ready to retire and at this point would be a downgrade to Lee. David Lee is arguably the best assistant coach on the team, we can not afford to lose him.
How do you know he's the best? I don't intend to bash your post, I was just wondering how do we, the fans know, how good an assistant coach actually is?
