Davis/kuechly 7ints/6.5 sacks combined, misi/jenkins/sheppard 0sacks 0ints

This might be the best duo in the nfl so its a high standard but it goes to show u how this roster lacks talent. The LB corps has been bad now since philbin got here. Our linebackers dont make impact plays and they have suh in front of them. I said keep hewitt in at least he seems to make plays. Davis and kuechly are only 2 i dont even know the numbers of their 3 LB i didnt look it up. I think the whole LB group needs to be retooled. I would love to sign demario davis, derrick johnson, freeman and draft jaylon smith. Let misi/jenkins battle it out for the 3rd spot. Ether way we must strive for better LB play. The LB corps is a mess & im not sure that ****roach tannenbaum has any clue.
 
We didnt need LBs last spring. Lol

This was very obvious to me earlier in the year when I was watching the Patriots / Bills game (the second one). The LB's for both teams were all over the field and it was obvious that I was watching a style of defensive play I hadn't seen on the Fins for a long time. Our LB's are terrible and we need a huge upgrade. I would definitely devote some picks to this position early in the upcoming draft as well as look at free agency. The LB's need to be the strength of our defense, not a huge liability.

The next impact play those guys make will be there first. It's a huge problem on this team
 
It's so frustrating to seem opposing linebackmake play after play, rushing the qb, blowing up our slants, covering the seam etc. I can't remember the last time a Miami lb made a highlight reel play...I yea I do, ZT

I think it has more to do with what LB's were available. 2015 was an infamously weak LB draft, and 2016 should be one of the better drafts for LB's in recent years - both in top talent and depth. CB's and S's were also relatively weak in 2015 - particularly at the top. This year should also be better at those positions. Based on Chambers post, it sounds like Miami is prioritizing the secondary, and it's a good draft to do so; though, I'll be pretty upset if they don't address MLB in 2016. Something like:

1. Hargraves/Ramsey
2. Skai Moore
3. Kevin Byard (Slimm's guy)/V. Bell

The problem - of course - is that this does not address OL - which also looks pretty good this year. As usual, we have more holes than picks.

Dion Jordan was gonna be that guy but this bozo coaching staff decided to fatten him up and take away his freakish athleticism and speed

Also, Joey Porter made plays during our last playoff season

I don't want Misi back, and really don't want anyone back on D besides Suh and Jones.

Something to note: Jordan's athletic ability was always overrated. His agility was above average but not special, and his burst was poor.

Disappointing for the 3rd overall pick. He showed flashes of making impact plays, but the coaching staff kept him riding the pine too much.
 
And people wanna cut Wake for some reason. Before his injury he had 7 sacks and on his way to an easy double digit season..
 
The unfortunate reality is the entire defense with the exception of Suh, Jenkins and Jones needs to be blown up. Grimes and Wake you can bring back at reduced salaries to fill needs for a year but because of age/decline cant be counted on. Vernon will require big money which im not sure we are willing to pay, so DE which was once a deep position will now be a need, I didnt even realize Earl Mitchell played this year until someone said he was out hurt, Phillips has shown some promise. Linebackers have been a mess for years, I think Jenkins is young and has upside. DB is another mess, short of Jones none of them can be counted on.
