Yeah, I know they have yet to play a game. However, I have a gut feeling that they are gonna be as good. Better would be better. :)

Your thoughts?

Davis and Smith are both physically imposing. they have an edge over Surtain and Madison in that compartment. whether they can get the mental aspect of the game down as well remains to be seen.

Shouldn't we make sure Davis is better than Jason Allen before acknowledging feelings they'll be as good as pro bowlers? Smith projections are somewhat more reasonable.

way premature BUT for the sake of it these guys have more upside than Madison and Surtain. Smith is a freak for being able to do the a cb must do and being that big.
I have a feeling Davis is going to be great for us, maybe not year one but overall.

Ah, good cornerbacking memories. I see Sean Smith breaking the single season mark for INTs in a season despite his physicality. He's got great hands. They can be better than Surtain/Madison.

Yes we should, and I normally do. See my Henne/Penny posts. This is my exception to the rule, and is just a feeling I have after going to camp.

Although Davis is giving up catches, he's coverage looks great. Smith is a freak. I picked these two in their slots pre-draft, and am going a step further after an up close look.

I'm trying to expand on the acorns I found while using a cane. LOL

Davis & Smith are at this point in their careers are more physical and athletic than Madison & Surtain. The edge IMO still goes to Madison & Surtain because they are a proven commodity and have develop special techniques through their NFL experiences.

Don't say it! Not yet... Surtain and Madison were extremely special and to credit two rookies to their level is now qualified.

Many have Henne as the "chosen One" without playing. Here's a question for all.

Between Henne, Davis, and Smith, who has the best shot at being a star?

Way too early for that. Even after year one it would be early. Will Poole looked like these guys as a rookie an got injured and never was the same.

Can these guys play one game in the NFL before we start comparing them to the best CB tandem the Fins have ever had.

And for the record, they DO NOT have any physical advantages over Madison and Surtain, be cause Madison and Surtain could run circles around both these guys, they are just not as fast.

Pretty sure Madison and Surtain were both 4.5 guys.. just like Davis and smith, they wouldnt run circles around them.
