Great interview! Davone Bess really does sound like a great guy. I am glad we could get this whole mess sorted out.
 
From our experience w/ him at the University of Hawaii, he IS a great guy. Total class act. (Not to mention he has the best hands of any receiver I've ever covered :up:)

@Adam: Not sure why he hasn't talked to the Miami media, but our main host, Rob DeMello, has a great relationship w/ Davone and we ARE friendlier in Hawaii!

I want to go to Hawaii so bad. How's the surf this time of year? Is there ever a down time as far as surf is concerned?
 
Never really a bad time to come to Hawaii. Good surf year round, but Summer/Winter is when it really cranks.

Sadly, however, we have no pro sports franchise, so we have to live vicariously through our ex-University of Hawaii players!
 
Are there a lot of Charger fans in Hawaii?
 
Yes.

Lots of Steeler, Cowboys (both teams were on TV ALOT during the 70s/80s), Chargers, and 49er fans. Also a fair number of Broncos and Bears fans.

That said, a large number of people are fans of any team w/ ex-University of Hawaii players. It's a little strange not having a pro-sports team, so the Warriors largely fill that roll.
