any notice how key bess is when it comes to long drives or come back drives? i noticed he has had a few drops but for the most part this guy is real reliable. I love his attitude, and for what we got him for good lord he is a great addition to the wr corp. Did you see how he fought for those extra 5 or so yards... he caught it at liek the 50 and brought it real close to the forty with like 3 tacklers on him...I think if it wasnt for that second effort we migth have lost the game...I mean everyone is focusing on ginn and penny and porter which is cool but respect has to be given to bess with respect to his receiving abilities...

that was more so him making up for dropping the first two earlier in the game. both drops killed those two earlier drives.

hes a professional getting paid 10x more in a year then i will ever make, even at league minimum.

I will judge him as so.
 
I love his heart, but there is a reason he wasn't drafted by anybody. I hope he gets over his dropsies and his punt return issues, because he can be the slot receiver we need and Ginn is a lot better suited to KR than PR.
 
Best has been a decent player for us this year and I do give him a good deal of credit for his efforts on Sundays but IMO he is the most overrated player on this forum

thats ignorant man, no amount of money is gonna make anyone 100% dependable...are you serious man? this is football man... would u rather him make those early catches and miss the ones that count...you guys are too much man...like i understand getting paid like wilford and worth anything...not even special teams, thats what pisses me off, but to say because he makes 10X mroe than u that they are gonna make 100% of the passes thrown to them isnt logical

he was overated when we picked him on here... but over team this guy has produced silently for us...ok so defense game plan for ginn, now they have to worry about rillo, if not rillo bess is dependable.. he runs longer yards and hes half the size of everyone else.. we have too many intangibles on this team its crazy....not to mention cobbs, ronnie and ricky

hes caught more than hes dropped though.
 
He has. But turning upfield before you catch the ball is death for a slot receiver, and that seems to be his biggest issue at WR. If he gets over that he'll be very reliable. And he really needs to make better decisions at PR.

Bess is a keeper.. He's an excellent slot receiver that has been limited due to this team being ahead in games most of the time, the style of offense and the coaches realization of Penningtons strengths and weaknesses (not a gun slinger).

Once Henne becomes the starter in 2009... Bess will light it up. IMO.
