I'm kind of getting into this big player mentality of the Parcells regime.

So, here are the players I'm looking at. Any thoughts?
WR Hakeem Nicks 6'1 - reminds me a bit of Michael Irvin
WR Kenny Britt 6'3 - a NJ product, reminds me a bit of Santonio Holmes
CB Sean Smith 6'3 3/4" - we've never had a big corner, we could use one. Not many good corners in this draft.
NT Ron Brace 6'3 - Nose Tackles are hard to find in this draft (this guy was a backup, though... not many sacks... not a world beater)
NT Sammie Lee Hill 6'4 - a little off the beaten path
DE/OLB Michael Johnson 6'7" - nice competition for Roth
DE Jarron Gilbert 6'5 - big guy, productive in college, since we don't have Holliday, it might be nice to bring in competition

Nicks or Smith at Round 1, Brace or Smith in Round 2 at pick A, Brace or Gilbert at Round 2 for pick 2B.

WR Britt
CB S. Smith
OLB Sintim
NT Baker
Rb Andre Brown

Please someone watch film on Brace and then try to convince me that he's worth a first day pick.

-- Good size on Brace. I am a bit concerned that he is a backup in college with very few sacks. Very few good Nose Tackles and corners in this draft. That's why I also suggested "Sammie Lee Hill". Comes from a little college... might be able to get him a little later. Taller, Faster, more productive, more experience than Brace. But it's not the BC program.

Ireland said he's looking for 6'4" 320 lbs. Not many guys fit that criteria. I bet they'd settle for 6'3" 310 lbs, though.

Here are our 7 choices based on that criteria:

# Player Height Weight 40-Time School
4. Ron Brace 6-3 334 5.52 Boston College
9. Chris Baker 6-2 326 5.03 Hampton
17 Terrance Knighton 6-3 321 5.23 Temple
20 Sammie Lee Hill 6-37/8 329 5.15 Stillman
21 Dorell Scott 6-31/4 312 4.95 Clemson
25 Khalif Mitchell 6-5 318 5.1 East Carolina
37 Antonio Dixon 6-3 328 5.15 Miami (FL)

If we don't choose Nicks or Britt, WR Brian Robieski is an interesting guy to look at in round 2 or 3 depending on our first pick, and how the draft plays out. You can't fill all your positions in one year, but getting some hits at positions of need on Day 1 is always a good start.

Day 2: you can take chances on injured players... guys who would have been 1st or 2nd rounders had they not been injured. But filling needs, or looking ahead at pending free-agents and bringing in guys ahead of time as potential future replacements, doesn't seem like a bad draft plan.

There are different ways to go about a draft though. Jimmy Johnson used to say... always draft a QB, in a couple years you can trade them away for a 2nd rounder, if he's not your starter; see AJ Feeley!

ps. I haven't given up on Ginn; it was a wierd pick by Mueller, though, choosing a short and injured kick returner with a learning disability in the top-10 of the draft. It was a position of need, and the #1 WR taken in that draft... but if the position sucks this year (possibly CB, NT)... then pick a sure-fire in another spot and fill a position for 10 years.

Generally speaking, I'm looking at NT,CB,DE,QB,WR,LT,RB on day 1, though. If those aren't needs, then you are already a playoff team; maybe a dynasty.

How does Britt remind you of Santonio Holmes? Because they are both WRs?

Ron Brace was a backup? I'm pretty sure he's started the last few years, including 2008 and the year Raji was out.
