Offensive linemen got busy right away hitting the blocking sled. Some of the reserves, including Ernest Wilford, were recruited to hold up blocking dummies as defenders.

While quarterbacks worked on handoffs with the running backs at one end, a coach threw short passes to the receivers. Davone Bess made a nice one-handed catch of a poorly thrown pass. Might Bess actually have better hands than Greg Camarillo?

Anthony Armstrong drops two passes, one thrown behind him but another right in his hands.

Pat White had a much better day throwing the ball Sunday and was throwing well again Monday. Just as I write that, he throws way behind Camarillo on a turn-in route.

It hard to believe Shawn Murphy is all of a sudden a stud, but maybe it's the skeptic in me. I've seen tremendous turnarounds before, and usually you can sense them coming. Murphy's recent promotion to the starting right guard spot blindsided me considering I'd never heard ANYONE praise him (publically or privately) all offseason.

Coach Tony Sparano talked about how he improved his body, and I saw it first hand yesterday. But there was no praise for his play, and only one run with the starters during a practice open to the media. Plenty of praise for Brandon Frye, and Nate Garner, but none was thrown Murphy's way. Now all of a sudden he's the final of the offseason's three most improved. I sense his surprising elevation has a lot to with his draft status, and them trying to find a motivator for him.
