DB awarded off waivers from Cleveland

Hmmm, I thought for sure we'd resign Poole after he cleared waivers...now, I'm not so sure...

that's the guy who slip & fell against the panthers in the playoff game he played for the bears.

If you watch today's practice video, he is working with the DBs... Wearing #45.

so we will have to waive somebody now right?

seeing as how we had to make room for J. Allen.

who? .... thompson ..... ? who ? who is he .... looks like he is pretty sorry ......... if he couldnt play at least one game at corner for the jaguars ..... the jags got one good corner .. mathis .. who is the other one ? ... lol if he couldnt crack the lineup with those corners how is he expecting to make it here also ..... why saban ? why over poole ? .. i rather have a wil poole on the PUP list then a thompson who i dont even kno

I'm not sure if it works like that.
From what I read, they now have to come to an injury settlement with Poole (assuming he cleared waivers today), and he'll be an unrestricted free agent until week 10 of the regular season, at which time he could be brought back into the mix.
The only other option would be the IR for Poole again, if an injury settlement can't be sorted out by next week.

The Dolphins cant re-sign Will Poole unless they reach an injur settlement, and in that case they have to wait till week 10 before they can try to re-sign him. The thought of him coming back will not happen until atleast week 10.

Side note, I am not too encouraged by Thompson, he has already been cut twice in training camp, both by defensive coaches in Lovie Smith from Chicago and Romeo Crennel in Cleveland. I figure he will not last long in
camp, but there is probably not much else out there.

Thompson won't last long. He's just camp fodder. I'd take an injured Poole over him.

Alfonso Marshall was waived today. He's out of UM and he wasn't bad opposite Antrel Rolle and Kelly Jennings in college. Haven't heard much about him in the pros, but the way were going I wouldn't be surprised to see us give him a look. Just throwing it out there...
