..is a HUGE issue, we have our starters and our nickel and they are all quality guys. Now we need to add some depth at the position with maybe a 3-4th rounder...but after signing Allen we shouldnt look to draft a DB @ #16..

I agree that we should look somewhere other than DB in the first

Chad Jackson @ 16 is my choice

I still think a guy that can play safety (Jimmy Williams or Ko Simpson) are options, and dont discount Cromartie as Saban WILL draft the BPA. But yes, it is not a position that must be addressed i Rd. 1 as it was before FA. I actually think depth is decent, with Goodman, Mitchell and Jackson behind Daniels, Poole and Allen... add Hill if he isnt being moved to S. Its exactly the type of secondary I expected Nick to put together- guys who play his style, good tacklers, speed, youth... not the "big name" but guys that play the way he wants his DBs to play. Did I mention youth and speed? (Cough Cough Howard and Madison)

I think all that does is set us to take BPA. Wich IMO is what Saban will do anyways.

nope if we get Peterson today or Arrington we go DB, where else are we gonna go not WR cause we signed Kelly Cambell today

At this point, our first pick is looking more like LB or OL. That's unless we get Ashcroft or Arrington/Peterson and then we trade out of it more than likely.

I would say that safety is a big need right now. We need to bring in a young stud at safety. Look at the impact Harrison had at NE. This could be a possibility depending on who is available.
My prediction for what it's worth is we trade down because we need picks!

Basically, Nick is putting us in a position to go multiple routes in Rd 1 and take the BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE. That is his draft philosophy, based on what we saw last year.

.....dont you think using a first rounder on a reciever is not really necessary? I would be a little dissapointed

Campbell does not make us less likely to take Jackson or Holmes. He is a 4th WR/ST/Return guy. Nice depth, but not going to change our draft strategy.

We seem to have set ourselves up very nicely to pick the best player available. No glaring holes that absolutely need a player who can step in and start as a rookie.

I think that Santonio Holmes, Winston Justice, or Chad Greenway if he slips would be nice picks.

think I'd like to see one of the best DB at #16, would like to trade down now though

i hope we don't draft a DB at 16 either... i think we are set as far as defense is concerned and i think its great that we are tryin to bring Arrington or Peterson to add to our LB core but i think that we need to re-focus our attention to our o-line and trying to bring in ashworth or someone for the right side of our line and i think that drafting Winston Justice at 16 would be the best option... he'll add talent, depth, and be a future starter for us as well as a future pro bowler
