First off I'm very dissappointed in...

1. getting DC.
2. giving up a high draft pick for him.

Does anyone know how much we are going to have to be paying this atrocity?

I just want to be on the record saying this is a dark day in Fin history.

i agree brees was my first choice.. but with that said anyone who says they are disappointed in getting culpepper should get drop-kicked in the face. Go root for whoever Gus Frerotte goes and plays for..

There are 31 other teams to root for! Consider yourself a free agent

a 2nd for Feeley was a dark day! A 2nd for Daunte has the good chance of being a godsend!

As Napolean would say, "IDIOT!"

You all should get back to your video games. Seriously, does anyone know about his contract?

Dont kill me if im wrong but in another thread someone said he would only account for 2 million against the cap for us this season

The dark moment in fin history started when you wrote this post. Come on. Get real. It may or may not work out but a "dark day in FIn History." THat was when we got feeley for a 2nd or Gordon for a 3rd.

How can you possibly think Duante Culpepper is not worth the 51st pick???? We are gettting a QB that 2 years ago threw for nearly 5,000 yards and 39 TD's, and is without a doubt one of the best QB's in the NFL when he is healthy. This trade was a no brainer and a blessing for the Fins.

Ok, so if you didn't want the fins to trade for Culpepper, who did you want since Brees was asking for $10mil/year, and if you think he's worth that much then you must me crazy, but seriously, who would you have liked? McCown? Ramsey? Schaub? Frerotte? all backups. Whitehurst? Jacobs? Croyle? All rookies that are condidered projects and two years away from starting. So instead of overpaying and killing our cap on a risky QB with an ok arm and an injured throwing shoulder, we traded the 51st pick in the draft for a great, proven, top tier QB with a knee injury which is much easier to recover from than the torn labrum and damaged rotator cuff of the throwing shoulder.

I sitll can't believe people are upset.

Its a dark day for you, you can follow Drew to the big easy while the rest of us welcome Dante.

Why does everyone insist on calling people idiots who don't like Culpepper?

His backups have done better than he has. He hasnt done anything without Moss or Carter. If you watch a game you will realize he has worse progression skills than AJ Feeley. He fumbles and is careless with the ball (2+ TO a game). Now to add, he has a bum knee.

Now tell me something logical to counter that instead of just passing me off as an idiot because Daunte is rated as a top 5 QB in Madden. Let me ask you, did he play like a top 5 QB last year?

Plus I keep hearing about Culpepper salary being so cheap but last year he signed a record deal of like 10 years 108 million I thought?

Feely/DC. Both a waste of a 2nd. Time will tell prove who is right. I've watch about every game DC has played. He is a turnover machine. I have no doubt in my prediction. For all you bandwagoners, go look at the numbers the Vikings QB's have put up before you post any more crap.

For Gods sake they got Randle Cunningham back from installing kitchen countertops and made him into a probowler. Look at the other Vikings past QB's - Moon, Brad Johnson (1st time), Jeff George. They all put up great numbers. When BACKUPS Gus Ferrotte and Todd frickin Bowman filled in for DC when he was hurt - they put up 100 qb passer ratings. It was the system - they had a great wr's an awsome Oline and a quality running game.

I hope I'm wrong. I just don't think I am.

He does have the 2nd highest completion percentage in NFL history. And that's impressive because his offense has featured a vertical passing game. And his career passer rating is 3rd best in NFL history. Yeah, he's a bum.

Last time I checked, the "system" that was run in Minnesota was instilled at Miami last year. I'm not saying Dante is great, but at least he'll be working in a system that he is comfortable with. Our WRs are decent, our TE is good, our running game is good, and our O-line is being upgraded through FA and the draft. Everything for the offense is falling into place, and having a QB who knows the system is better than getting one who would spend half the season getting comfortable with it.

Not everyone thinks this is a good deal and it doesn't make us any less a phin fan.
Have you been 100% happy with everything the dolpins have done since 1966? Not everyone likes DC, I for one don't but i'm still a fan of the phins. He wasn't the first play I didn't like and he probably won't be the last.
