First buying his mom a new house and now donating $100K to help with the renovation of his HS stadium, the kid seems to have his heart in the right place.:thumbsup

While negative headlines seem to gain the most attraction these days, there’s still plenty of good deeds out there worthy of highlighting and the latest example of that comes from Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Charles Harris.

Wish more of our younger players (like Parker) would be more upstanding like Harris has been, really hope he kills it this year.

After watching that video of him buying his mom a house and now this donation, nothing but respect for him and hope he has a great year.

Anyone else notice that we are drafting more really high character guys eg Charles Harris, Raekwon McMillan, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Mike Gesicki, Kenyan Drake, etc? I may be wrong but my hunch is that this is a deliberate goal and probably led by GM Chris Grier

Very deliberate.

I love when a plan comes together.

I like Chris Grier...a lot. He’s not a smooth press conference guy, but he’s a true football scout. I don’t care how smooth a guy is, I care about process and results. I think Grier has made well thought out decisions with the draft, working in concert with Gase. And, really, there’s at least two parts with drafting. Sure, there is evaluating and building your board. But the second part is making the decision in the big picture. That decision making part is what separates the men from the boys. For example, Jeff Ireland liked Jimmy Graham. He got that part right. It didn’t do him any good when he took John Jerry (admittedly Sparano’s Guy). I saw the Graham blunder all the way.

With Grier, I think we’ve got a guy making good decisions. I probably would have done a couple of things differently (Mo Hurst over Durham Smythe comes to mind), but he’s got all the information and I do not. My bottom line is I trust him. There are these smooth taking guys like Chris Ballard and John Dorsey who the media love to anoint, but if the fan base and Ross keep the faith with Gase and Grier, we can have sustained success over the long haul.

I’m not a fan of Mike T for a variety of reasons, though. I don’t care what line of business you’re in. You don’t want that type of guy in your organization.
