Dead Serious: What options do we have next year (At QB)?

Bro it’s not an excuse and no they don’t overcome everything every time. I’m sorry but you Putt Derek Carr in KC or Buffalo or Baltimore or Miami and he’s a perennial playoff contender.
Tua makes the throw that carr whiffed on this week 9 times out of 10, please, spare us. Carr would crumble in every one of those situations. Hes a hot mess.

Speaking of QB, does anyone know if we put in a claim on Mayfield?

Nothing personal against those that like Tua, but I would have tried to claim him. Was it affordable for us? Oh well, that ship has passed.
Speaking of Baker. I really wonder if this end of season games is a show LA something audition to move on from Aging Stafford. (Nevermind there just looked up his contract. It is an anchor and not going anywhere anytime soon).

It is the Audition for Baker hitting UFA in the offseason.

Oh yeah, wonder if Stafford is going to get moved. We could get him for a year. Maybe win a Superbowl and then suck the next year. I'd take it.

Baker looks a lot better then Tua when put with a good coach.

We went all in based on the opinions of a run game coordinator who has never as so much as run an offense. This team is ****ed. And the picks are gone now bc we traded them for the horrific Bradley Chubb

LOLPHINS for life.

I don’t see how they can move on From Stafford for a couple years. That Dead money on his new contract is crippling

I think Baker is trying to play lights out for 4 weeks and cash one of those 150M QB contracts in the offseason. (NYJ would absolutely go there too I think).

Stafford or Rodgers. And Sean Payton.

You’re entitled to your opinion but you were also the guy after Tuas rookie year telling me how great he was going to be. So….. yeah

The Bradley Chubb trade may be the move in the long run that gets Grier fired. McDaniel hitched himself to Tua, there’s no doubt it’ll be Tua another year. Unless somehow the sea parts and Jackson becomes attainable somehow.

Not sure if anyone has brought this up, but hypothetically speaking if Purdy were to win the Super Bowl this year wouldn't the 49ers have to roll with him for the foreseeable future? If he continues to play like he has anyway. So one possibility that could be the all time risk scenario is trading multiple future picks for Trey Lance. It may be stupid but his 4.5 speed and cannon arm are enticing with Hill and Waddle he could extend plays and be deadly in the run game. I think 49ers have a good chance to win the SB so it'll be interesting to see what they do. I'm not really a fan of bringing in Jimmy G, Rodgers, Carr, etc because they have those big contracts and ideally we can resign guys like Wilkins and Waddle. Rodgers didn't look very good today or all season and he's not the type of guy to take a team friendly contract.

If Tua plays well the next 2 and makes the playoffs then I'm just in for bringing a low end free agent like Minshew if we don't have to get into a bidding war and if Tua shits the bed next year you can give him a shot before drafting a guy when they have a 1st.
