I am reading alot of Chris Cambers sucks and Frerrote blows. Did we forget that the man had 2 touchdowns when was the last time he had 2 touchdowns. And theat Frrrote had a pretty damn game to. I think this site has become filled with fans that are not Miami Fans. When I 1st found this site about a year and a half ago. I thought this was the greatest thing since sliced bread. But now I am overwelmed with negativity by 75% of the people on this site who call themselves fin fans. I am not a homer and yes I am not always pleased with the calls we make or the poor execution. But when we score I am up and screamin. At least 5 of our losses were games that we could have won. But we lost. Was I mad HELL YEAH. But I know that these guys play their a$$e$ off. And yes A that guy sucks is warranted everynow and then. But everyweek come on. All im saying is that it gets old. Everyone knows that Gus isnt the long term answer but give all these guys some respect. If I were them I wouldnt even want to play for half of the fans on this site. One day you say there are great and the next you say there are the worst in the league and should go back to pop warner. Support your PHINS throughout the year. Remember it is only 4 months long when you dont make it to the post season.

see this is what i was afraid of....

people who obviously did not watch the game will just see the stats of "2 touchdowns" and say "hey, lets overlook his performance and just go based off the TDs".

guys.... Chris dropped 4-5 balls today... and they were CRITICAL. the two TDs don't mean squat if you drop the game tying one. The fact that he got 2 TDs was also happenstance. The first one was a good play by Chambers, the second was sheer luck that the entire defense didn't even move. Chambers also got lucky and had his number called both times on those plays. Booker and Welker, who did all the work, didn't get opportunities (well welker got one, but bruschi made a great defensive play).

Chambers is mediocre, should be a #2 guy at best, and is seriously overpaid.

and i am not a fairweather fan. as a fan (and paying member to this site), i have the right to criticize my team any way i want. Anyone who is critical of the critics is the very definition of a homer.

theres no point in arguing

Bro how are we "fair weather fans" if we sa this about Chris Chambers every week, EVEN this week where he scored 2 tds. What i think you need to do is look up the definition of Fair Weather fans because i don't think u understand man. A fiar weather fan is someone who switches to something from week to week, but when u consider all the people talking and critisizing CC fair weather fans well then u gotta go back in look at previous post from other weeks and see that every week the same thing is said about CC because he can't catch the ball man. He just drops to many and u know he's not #1 caliber. Sorry to disappoint you but its the Truth yo. CC just isn't an elite WR he's exactly what Saban said he was decent...

Lets get this guy out here because he could have caught everything thrown at him. And yes I did watch the game. I dont just look at the stats.

I watched the whole game and I think he dropped 2 or 3 even some of the great ones drop a ball every now then I think this board is way to hard on Chambers. Bottom line is he is the best WR we have look at the numbers. This system is brand new and although the players should have a grasp of it probally by the sixth week of the season it is still new and I don't think are OC has established an Idenity with this team. Are we a team that is going to play to are strenghts with RB RW or are we going to be a finnesse team and throw the ball all over the place.

get which guy out where?

when you are paid the kind of coin CC is, and you are the #1 guy, you NEED to make catches. You don't see T.O., Chad Johnson, Torry Holt, Derek Mason, Randy Moss, Lee Evans, Deion Branch, Santana Moss, etc, etc drop passes.... you rarely see them drop ONE pass a game. to drop 5? and to consistently drop passes EVERY game?

NO top-tier WR in the league does that.... Chris is alone in that quality.

FYI Chambers had 5 drops.... 4 of which are captured quite well in the "letter to chris chambers" thread.

the system has nothing to do with it.... if the ball hits you in the hands, you catch the damn thing. it is a concentration issue, we know CC has the ability, he just isn't following through.

route-running, timing, and stuff like that is issue with new systems.... CC is just flat-out dropping passes.

Yes I did see some balls dropped. But I also saw him catch some also. Do you make mistakes at work.

Just for the record I do not think Chambers sucks. I think he has however not played up to his potential and his current contract.

If I had it my way he would be on his way to the pro-bowl!

you're kidding right? horrible example dude... just horrible.

I also don't get paid 1.5 million to do my job. If i did, i would make DAMN sure i am doing it right.

Tell me this. Say you are an airport security guard. Say you open up the security gate in the morning and throughout the day, observe that everyone properly walks through the metal detector. at the end of the day you observed 500 people walk through that detector.

Would it mean anything if you forgot to turn on the metal detector that morning?

Chris can catch however many balls he wants... but with 5 drops (including the game tying), he is seriously derelict in his duties. He is getting paid serious coinage (and that figure i gave was just his BASE salary this year, not including all the bonuses he got for signing that extension), he needs to be putting up decent numbers... dropping passes week in and week out is NOT the answer.

CC needs to be moved to #2, and we need to bring in a true #1 guy. CC also needs to take a pay cut or be cut.

i doubt "fairweather fans" would stick around to complain. they'd just move on and not care. the PASSIONATE fans are the ones who make those threads
