Decision imminent on Dolphins' Poole, Mitchell

They might activate mitchell, but i wonder who they will cut. Eddie Jackson?

so it sounds like Mitchell will come back and poole will be moved to IR.

I am all for that

poole will be good next year and this year Mitchell cant do worse than howard

next year we will be ok

mitchell poole daniels kiwaukee madison

Poole and smad starters and daniels in the nickel add mitchell on the dime and we are set!

Yeah this was predictable a long time ago. Poole can't make it back. If he had super human recovery time like some players (Rice, Owens) then maybe he could have possibly come back this season, but he doesn't so he won't.

Mitchell will be a welcome addition to see how he plays. I think they'd cut LeJeune though, not Jackson. Mitchell is still a rookie who has only been practicing for a month or so.

that's pretty fine, I agree..though due to our cap I think we should dump kiwaukee and sign a better FA, not a stellar guy.. just a solid CB that could play the nickel, a guy better than howard lol. That would be a good CB depth Poole,Madison,Mitchell,Daniels, solid FA pickup

I think kiwaukee is going to do a good job as a 5th guy... no need to overspend we have other priorities QB LT LB the rest needs depth but LB is a big need next year Seau is retiring after this season (I would like him to stay as a coachÉ I have him on madden as a coach lol))) maybe draft a QB in the first if we dont sign 1 good in FA, the second we go LB in the third lets get a tackle in the 4th safety and in the 7th I would go with a WR

Center shall be adressed in the FA same as LT

indeed, i like your areas of upgrade..
we don't need to overspend to get a solid CB better than kiwaukee, specially under saban. He showed in his first offseason he can get value without overspend. IMO kiwaukee was signed because he was the better cheap CB available at that time and we were desperate for one

Mitchell, Walls (FA), Poole, Daniels, Madison would be nice too.
Yeah, what is the status on Walls anyway? Moreover, does anyone know if he can play S? He certainly has the size for it!

He was put on injured reserve for a minor injury, but was asked to be waived. I dont think he's been waived yet.

Since Saban likes to keep alot of DB's on the team, I think that he will let go someone who plays another position. My guess would be Nick Rogers.

Poole and Mitchelle are the reasons the team felt comfortable trading away Surtain. Poole showed tremendous promise last year and Mitchelle is a better D back then most we have starting now.

I would keep both of these guys on IR until next year. This would let both of these guys take in the new system while completely recovering from their injuries. This would also allow Daniels and Shulters to improve there game. With Madison (although I don't think he will be a Phin next year), Poole, Daniels, Shulters, Mitchelle, and Jones the secondary will be much improved next year.

-Madison is a staple of the Dolphins secondary and it will be sad to see him go but I don't think he will take a pay cut therefor I don't see him returning next year. It's not completely out of the question, if there is an injury or something along those line we could wee him back.

-Poole is a big solid back. I loved watching him come along last year. It is a shame that he had such a bad injury so early in his career. If he can come back to his original form then Poole and Daniel could be the next Surtain and Madison.

-Daniels is playing unbelievable football for a rookie. This guy stepped in and started performing for us instantly. I was very skeptical having a rookie start at corner, but this guy has held his own.

-Shulters is also a nice surprise. I think he will be a perfect compliment to Mitchelle. These two guys are big and fast, and are both ball hawks.

-Mitchelle was another 2004 surprise. I do not remember a lot about his performance but I have heard nothing but good things about him and can't to see him in action again.

-Jones really stepped it up before his injury. As though the secondary is cursed or something. I would have like to have seen more but hopefully next year. It seemed like he was by every tackle, and if I'm not mistaken I believe he is still the leading sacker on the team.

I believe that Saban and Mueller will draft and pick up a veteran free agent
D back next year to round off the secondary.

I saw somthing saying we had put in a claim for him but it failed because someone with a worse record also clamed him. Dont remember who it was.
