Dedrick Epps waived

i think if john phillips were to get cut by dallas he'd be a definite upgrade to anything we have at te other than fasano...not a great player by any means but just about anythings an upgrade to what we have...

that rucker dude is garbage...

John Phillips won't get cut.
Actually, quite the opposite. If he hadnt blown out his ACL last year, he would've taken over Marty B's spot.

thats probably right but he was playin awfully late in that 4th preseason game...later than i would have expected he would...i assume marty b is martin rucker and that dudes garbage...

Correct.

We traded for Fasano within minutes of Dallas picking Bennett IIRC. Bennett is a colorful, gifted dude, that hasn't done jack squat. He is injured right now, but Phillips was probably going to replace him as the #2 anyways.

That is one minute and 49 seconds I will never get back.

What a tragedy. The guy who half this board probably thought would be the single greatest TE in Dolphins history has been waived.

That Super Mario beat will forever be a classic.

i think he's got a few things going for him also...but he looks a little light and i doubt he has the strength to block in line right now at least

p squad potential to me

I agree. He got almost no work but I think I see some natural athleticism there. He looks like he doesn't weight more than 235 or so, which is probably a bit light. But I wouldn't want him getting too big. Maybe another 10 pounds. I'm not really concerned with how this guy blocks. If he can wall off a linebacker and is willing to dive at the legs of a defensive lineman and can navigate his way through the wash without getting knocked over then that's all I need.

If you look at the way they use Aaron Hernandez in New England, they literally never run to his side of the field. I charted two of them their games in depth last year and in all those snaps they only called a run to his side once, and that was when Gronkowski was to his left. Every other time there was two tight ends and a run was called, it was to the other side.

if i was gonna keep any of the guys we have in camp other than fasano at the position this kid would be the one...but ideally he's p squad and we get a guy who can help us right now more elsewhere...

but yeah he's got some talent worth developing...no doubt
