Deep ball to Wallace.

It is obvious that wallace has given up on Tanney. And I don't blame him. Hill sucks. Constantly under throws. Horrible accuracy. I'm sick of hill. I'm ready to move on. He was a reach as a 1 st rd pick. He will never be an elite qb. Time to clean house. Gm coaching and qb.

Yes Wallace has the .... i got paiditis.... Me thinks he is gone long before Hill ... LOL

Wallace has always been a deep threat, body-catcher with questionable hands. Nothing has changed.

- Wallace needs a QB who can hit him deep in stride. Roesthlisberger could do that. Tannehill can not.

- Wallace needs an offense that utilizes his strengths, and works around his weaknesses. Steelers were able to do that. Sherman & Miami have not.

Put it this way: For several years, Mike Wallace performed as the top deep threat WR in the NFL. On the other hand, Tannehill has never shown deep ball accuracy. So if the Tannehill-Wallace deep ball isn't clicking, it's far more likely that it's because of Tannehill or Sherman.

If you've watched Mike Wallace over the last few years, you'll know that nothing about him has changed (except who is throwing him the ball). He has not come to Miami, and turned into a different player. He runs, catches, and plays the exact same way that he always has. If you thought throwing $60 million at him would turn him into Megatron, you're going to be disappointed.

Ultimately, Mike Wallace might not be a good fit with Tannehill (inaccurate deep ball), or a west coast offense (which is generally built around a short, scripted passing game that favors good route runners with good hands).

Tannehill needs a big-bodied receiver to just get the ball ala Marshall for him to be truly successful imo.

Allen Robinson in the draft would be good.

Sounds like when Chad Henne just needed a stud WR like Brandon Marshall to be successful. Not that I'm trying to be super critical of Tannehill, but we can't fill ourselves with the notion that simply bringing in different receivers will magically make inaccurate throws completions. Of the positives in Tannehill I see, deep ball accuracy is simply not one of them. When you can't throw it downfield to hit your receiver with a catchable ball, it doesn't matter if you have Clyde Gates or Calvin Johnson.

I think Wallace missing the preseason really hurt their chemistry. I agree with the others I think his shoulder is giving him some problems. I bet there is at least a scope this off season.

Decent OL play would do wonders for Tannehill's confidence throwing deep patterns.

RT just doesn't have the confidence to stand in and step up and throw deep. Majorly evident.

Change that you you start seeing downfield magic. Well, change that AND Wallace's hammy and groin issues AND number 2 WR that is actually a credible threat.

Just let it develop. RT has chicken crap protection and only one viable threat WR.

Quit bagging on him. Let him develop. Already he's making throws that few QBs in this league can do. And leading in red zone efficiency.

Tannehill certainly blew that pass and other deep balls as well......but that doesn't mean that Wallace isn't a soft made bitch that won't fight for the ball. Wallace is Charmin soft

If he hits him, Wallace scores. IF Wallace fights for the ball, he may catch it, but he is down on the spot. We need Wallace to score TDs, which means Tannehill must make that throw.

Nobody is questioning the fact that Tannehill needs to make that throw....but Wallace has proven throughout the season to give up and not fight for balls

Those are the easiest touchdowns in the NFL and we keep leaving them on the field each week.

Good deep ball throwers have the ball turnover at or near its apex and the ball plops down right into the receiver's hands. Brees does it, Marino did it, Flacco does it, heck even Moore can.

Tannehill doesn't have that beautiful touch, his balls are all flat lined. He tries to overcompensate on the long throws but in doing so loses his accuracy.

If Tannehill was more accurate with his deep ball the Dolphins would be sitting at 7-3 right now despite their crappy offensive line and terrible run defense. That doesn't mean that Wallace isn't to blame for all of the drops and at times lack of effort he's had this season.

If the offensive line can somehow up their play from terrible to average and Tannehill starts hitting those deep balls then maybe this offense can hit that elusive 30 point mark. That also might get Wallace's head more into games. Shouldn't have to be that way since he should be a pro and he's making a boat load of money. However some players like him get down when they aren't in their comfort zone. Wallace's comfort zone is making big plays and scoring.

Also let's not forget that beautiful long pass Tannehill threw to Gibson on the 4th down scramble.

One of the prettiest balls a Qb could throw. He's capable, but when the pressure of a collapsing pocket in his face, that deep touch has to be that much more innate.

Hartline is not a deep threat. Wallace is weak on the boundary. They need to play Matthews more, and we need another boundary receiver. We need YAC and deep threat at all three spots. We also need a QB who can throw deep in addition to dinking and dunking. We need 3 awesome receivers, kinda what GB had. Right now, it's a struggle, everyone is limited.

You can tell he lost his motivation...he is just collecting his paychecks

That throw was the best I've seen from him in awhile, but for some reason Gibson dove at it when all he had to do was run to it and run in.
