i hope miami takes the deep shots that were available last time we played balt and caused us to lose. taht game ginn and cam were open SEVERALLLLLLLLLLLLLl times deep. I hope penny mans up and takes those shots b/c this is the playoffs and there is no its ok next time, its win or go home so that means u have to take advantage of every opportunity given to do so!

Do you know what is the percentage of deep throws completed in this league? This is a league of finesse and precision. No need to force the ball deep when all you have to do is make your downs. If the opportunity arises then we can certaintly use that but not when your fastest/best receiver is triple teamed by an awesome secondary. This might work if Ted Ginn is on single coverage and the Ravens are not going to gamble on that one.
 
Yea But On The Same Token He Hasnt Done It All Year Why Change It Now? Hes Doin Well Without Making Mistakes And Throwing The High Risk Plays And Giving Baltimore Any Momentum Defensively Can Be A Bad Thing.. They Got Ed Reed Running Around Back There Man. Lol He Has 9 Picks This Year If Its There Go For The Deep Ball Or If Were Down 10 14 Pts To Start The 4th Qtr Or End The 3rd Of Course But The First 3 Qtrs We Gotta Rely On Ball Control/turnover Ratio/and Hopefully Our Def Can Atleast Match The Ravens Def Somewhat To Make It Managable If It Comes Down To Crunchtime We Should Be Alright Thats How We Have Won All Year And Flacco Being The Rookie He Is I Can See Him Flinching.

did you read what I said? loll i said last time he was open SEVERALLLL TIMES and i stated if it happens again u have to take advantage of those OPPORTUNITIES meaning if he is open AGAIN u have to. did u not hear sparano say we have to keep Balt on their toes? this is one way to prevent 8 men in teh box with that LB core and D front. if they have 8 in the box dont expect miami to have more then 40 yards rushing.

i didnt finish reading ur post b/c i got a headache from the caps or whatevr u tried to do but you are wrong.

he hastn done it all year? TRUE but did he do it last week vs the jetsS? yes. did it give us a win? yes. 1 was a TD one was a 44 yarder on DOUBLE COVERAGE with one of the best S in the game and that 44 yarder i believe led to a TD as well. take away those 2 deep passes and u dont win that game, we arent in the playoffs and i promise u, we wouldn tbe averaging 5 yards a carry with each RB had it not been for those passes or the pass to RW that he dropped.

yo man. chill out coach sparano no one is saying ur right or rong. wat were saying is play how u have been playing till now. getting a lead early hold the lead control the clock and then seal it in the crunch if the deep ball is available take it if not dont risk it or force it and cost us the game ... the ravens defense is nowhere near the k.city and ny jets defense . there on another level...................
 
This is old issue. Im pretty sure if someone is open deep, penny would take advantage of it.

Conservative approach in the playoffs nets you losses.

This works great while trying to get your team there in the regular season.

I'd expect both teams to wrinkle up on offense.

Take nothing for granted. Expect anything and then some.

Just ones opinion...

If the opportunities present themselves sure, but I don't know that it's a 'must' that we take deep shots. It doesn't really eat up a lot of clock, for one, and I think our nickle and dime approach might be the way to pick apart the Ravens.
 
It's not about being conservative or aggressive, it's about being 'smart'. If the deep routes aren't there...don't go after them. Simple as that.

I wouldn't consider connecting on deep passes as a key to Miami winning the game, though.

i dno why u got so offended first.
second no one mentioned KC AT ALL loll.
third, we were able to do what we wanted against the jets so being behind wasnt so bad but try that vs the ravens then come n' talk to me.

like i said, take advantage of EVERY OPPORTUNITY you are given. I dont know why that upset you so much loll

NO ONE mentioned anything about taking taking shots on deep passes when they arent there. does anyone read the words on their screen on this board?

i said WHEN THEY WERE OPEN!!!!!!! OPEN IS DIFF FROM NOT OPEN HENCE THE ROUTES ARENT THERE.
