From a drunkard Fins fan at the Broncos game. First of all, Fins fans travel well, to Denver anyways. There were a lot of Fins fans at the game on Sunday. Let me preface this post by saying we were drinking all day, so some of this may just be from a joyous Fins fan.

Offense
1. It seemed like Penny and our receivers are starting to click. There were multiple occasions that Penny got rid of the ball well before our receivers were making their cuts/breaks on the ball. That helped keep their secondary on their heels all day. The ball was definitely coming out before their secondary was ready for it.

2. We have to run the ball better, but that goes without saying.

3. I can't remember how may times Penny got sacked, but it didn't seem like they were coming over our left side. Long looked good out there.

4. Penny can manage the game. From what I remember, he was very good at signaling to the other offensive players. Did we even have an offsensive penalty?

5. Ball Control, what can I say.

Defense
1. Granted our defense was going up against a lack luster offense, but the Broncos offense looked flustered all day.

2. Cutler looked like a rookie qb out there. I don't know if that was our coverage schemes or what, but our Secondary looked awesome.

3. Even though our defense runs a 3-4, there were consistently 5 or 6 guys coming at Cutler.

4. Our Secondary may end up being the strongest part of our defense.

Coaching Staff
Looked like a well managed game. I don't remember ever seeing guys running off the field at the last minute. It looked like we had a great game plan in place and the players knew exactly what they were supposed to be doing.

I know a lot of this seems elementary, but looking back at the last couple of years, this year's team makes the last few look like Pop Warner. It seems like we have a real direction to move in. If we can improve over the rest of this year and beginnning of next year, we will all be very happy.

:woot:

I noticed from watching the game on TV that there were alot of FINS FANS there. I dont know what percentage but from the TV it looked like at least 35% of that stadium were FIN FANS. There are always alot of FINS FANS when we head west. I remember a few years ago we played the Chargers in Arizona because of the fires in Cali and im telling you, it looked like we had home field advantage. FIN nation is very strong. i love it!

I was at the game too. I scored some Club level tickets. :hi5:

I was pleasantly surprised at how many Fin Fans were represented in the stands.

We had 2 penalties - Holding (Jake Long) & Pass Interference (leading to their 1st TD)

Jake Long had a good game......as usual.

"Granted our defense was going up against a lack luster offense" --- ??? Denver's offense has been very strong this year. Not sure what you mean. Our defense rose to the occassion.

Now, we need to keep it going against Seattle, and not have a let-down.

I read in an article somewhere (I believe the Sun Sentinel) That all of Dan Carpenter's family was at the game (they came in from Montana). That could have been part it.

I also saw an older gentleman wearing a Camarillo jersey tucked in to his khaki's and wondered if that was Camarillo's father. I can't imagine there have been a lot of Camarillo jerseys sold

When reading the title of this thread, did anybody think of that old SNL skit they used to do? lol
