Re-sign

V.Carey RT
C.Crowder ILB
Y.Bell SS

I would bring back Hill and Goodman but it would have to be cheap for depth purposes only.

Sign

J.Brown C - shores up the interior of the Oline being one of the better Centers in the league, this moves Satele to back-up and gives us more depth there.

O.Atowge FS - a saftey that has a knack for making big plays and will make a huge impact on our Secondary.

K.Dansby ILB - Just entering his prime years, makes lots of plays and allows Crowder to just make tackles taking pressure off him.

Draft

1/ M.Johnson DE/OLB 6'7 260 with a 4.65 40 Moves right into the OLB across from Porter giving us one hell of a pass rush from the outside. He's an outstanding athlete that's considered a terror off the edge.

2/ T.Jackson DE 6'5 290 This could be a little late for him but I can't see BP pass up another excellent 3/4 DE with a tonne of potential. He has a terrific moter and a really hard worker which we can never have too many on this team.

2/ R.Brace NT 6'3 325 A run stuffing NT that learns behind Fergy for a year or two. He is really quick off the snap for a big guy that gets a solid push up the middle.

3/ D.Johnson CB 6'1 190 with a 4.32 40 Real big CB with speed to take over from Goodman's departure. He's a physical player the smooth fluid hips.

4/ A.Parrish OT 6'6 310 Very athletic OT that run blocks real well. A position we need more depth and this guy has gotten much better every year.

5/ L.Vasquez OG 6'6 335 Great Guard in pass protection that adds to the depth of our Oline.

7/ A.Appleby ILB 6'4 250 Solid LB that would allow us to dump Torbor or Anderson, two guys that haven't really added much to our team.

7/ W.Osaisai CB 5'11 200 Speedy CB with nice size to compete for a roster spot.

7/ M.Mitchell WR 6'3 210 4.45 40 time with 21 yards a catch could be a steal this late.

Along with the FA pick ups we greatly enhance our pass rush while fine tunning the Oline and it's depth. Jackson is the only player in this draft that might have to drop a bit for us to get a hold of him and we've all seen players do that every year for whatever reason. Once we get this Oline and pass rush right where we want it we can then look for a WR that will make a big impact if Ginn hasn't improved anymore next season.

get rid of Crowder and get some real play making ILB's in there

No doubt. There is no way we are going to resign Crowder if we go after Dansby. Come to think of it we won't be resigning Channing anyways but Ayodele is better than Crowder . I'd be cool with Dansby and Ayodele in there.

Looks like you're planning for the Phins to get rid of Vonnie Holliday. 3 DEs drafted in 2 years plus tweeners Roth and Johnson would surely be the end of Holliday

Just looking at the fact that there would be a decent cap savings letting him go. Langford and Merling have proven they can play so it would be money well spent somewhere else.

What about Vonnie's leadership. I'm not really high on dumping DL depth. We did that a few years back with the Kevin Carter situation and it really cost us. I say we try to keep VH at least one more year.

Also I'm a GT fan and no way would I draft Michael Johnson. The guy is streaky and makes plays but he disappears alot.

defense was ranked 9th in points allowed, offense was ranked 23rd in points scored.... nuff said

We have Ferguson, Porter and W.Allen for veteran leadership and a bunch of guys with 5 years or so of experience.

The point more so then the player himself is more important that we get a strong pass rusher on the other side of Porter that can be sub'd out for Roth on run downs.

Yup  Our D was good enough to have beaten the Ravens. Our OL was the main area of the team that let us down that day. I say shore up the OL early and often. If we are going to be a ball control team we need a more dominant OL with better depth.

That's why I spent big money on J.Brown C, moving Satele to back-up C/G if he can't beat out Thomas. This improves the interior and the depth as well as two more draft Olineman in the mid rounds.

If we can sign Brown, then you are right IMO, we would more likely go defense in the 1st. I'm not sure we are going to want to pay him as much as some others will, as this is the best center draft since probably 1998. I'd be glad to have him though.

All indications are the Rams will franchise Atogwe. Maybe we will look at the Giants UFA safety James Butler.

If the Cards franchise Dansby, I'd be willing to throw the same amount of money at Bart Scott to sign him. Either one would be a tremendous boost to our LBer corps.

I just look at FA right now as possible signee's until they have been tagged or signed by their own teams and once that's happened I'll move on from them.

I think because J.Brown is so young that the FO would love to sign a proven young Center in a power run game offense rather then draft a kid that we hope will pan out. I say that while I'm a huge A.Mack fan and would love to see him drafted by us if we cannot get a quality FA, even if it means using our first round pick (which I know plenty of people do not want to do).
