I wouldnt call a 4min differential huge.
 
That's what I'm saying! yet, so many want to give the defense a free pass because they played well for 59 minutes.
 
The other side gets paid to make plays too..............the QB made a great touch pass under big pressure on the 3rd and 8. The Johnson reception was after the Poole injury; Freeman had to play off and give a big cushion. How many safeties can really cover a good wideout? I did not think the defense crumbled or wore out.

You're right; they did not crumble wor wear down. They choked, like a bunch of over-paid, over hyped paper champions, much like they did last year.
 
I think certain things werent working as well like Seau's blitz I dont believe he was getting in the back field in the 4th(could have been a better pick up by the Bengals or him tireing), and the fact that they seemed to be just outplayed by the same offense on that last drive. Although that longer catch by C Johnson was puzzling to me as he went straight down the field and had our Safety Freeman coming up for man coverage??? At least thats what it looked like unless a cb blew his assignment.

interesting point...I would venture to say that both defenses were extremely tired...they both got a REAL BIG workout on Sunday...

Maybe the defense choked, but their contribution to our loss was minimal. They only gave up 9 points...that's pretty good, especially considering who was out...let's not divert attention away from the REAL problem...

It was the scrub Wyrick we signed acouple days ago's side who was passed on.

The ONLY reason this game was EVEN CLOSE was our defense. We should have been blown out.
 
This game was not the defense's fault, giving up 9 points on defense and losing is not on them. Our Offense might give up more points than our d this season, I'm putting this game totally on the offense, every team in the league is gonna go conservative on the Phins because they can't let our d beat them, our offense has given up 14 pts this season and our d has given up 19 w/o Bowens. This defense might be the best in the NFL, but as long as opposing teams D score a TD a game the Phins aren't gonna win any games.
 
All I have to say is "Suck it up defense!" I agree Infins, It matters not what they did the first 59 minutes if they fold when the game is on the line. For what it's worth the offense/special teams put Miami in position to win the game and they couldn't stop 'em when it counted.
