Defense has been our problem for the least few years

I know all the "probowlers" that we have on defense and the relative crap we have had on offense. But I say that the defense has cost us more games than the offense. It seems they can NEVER get off the field at the right times! I mean how many 80 yard plus drives have we given up this year alone?? Remember the last game of the year in Foxboro a couple years ago? Defense gives up an 11 point lead in 5 minutes. We NEVER make the big plays, you know, the game changing type plays. WE only have 3-4 INTs as a TEAM this year. We just don't force enough turnovers. What has been the problem the last 4 years?

I don't know that this has been a problem that long. Two years ago(prior to the 4-12 season) our defense was reliable and could forced turnovers.

You can't make the big plays if your offense is going three and out all of the time. The defense gets tired. And if the defense gets tired, then how are they going to make great plays, if the offensse managed to rund the clock, then this defense would have far better games.

Having said that, this proves that the ravens defense was in a league of its own.

Our defense was built around our Dline...two dominant DT in the middle and two quick DE. We put so much pressure on the opposing QB's that they had to get rid of the ball before they wanted to, thus our LB's and DB's came up with interceptions or played mop up duty. Our Dline over the years is no longer dominant, plus or secondary is way past its prime.

I agree with you. Teams are just driving it right down our throat at will. I see so many threads complaining about Gus,O-line,Recievers & Coaching but what about the fact that we can't stop anybody. I don't believe its because they are tired either...teams do it to us on the first drive of the day and whenever they need to depending on the score. Take the last game with KC...R.Brown runs it in and closes the score to a TD or so ... KC comes out and looks unstoppable. We will never win like this :shakeno:
