Defense has to play better against the Saints

First I want to say that I am so happy we won that Jets game. It was a great game and Henne looks like he is the real deal! The one thing that concerns me however is the way the secondary is playing. We are making stupid penalties ( Will Allen) and not really pressuring the quarterback that much with Jason and Joey.

Hopefully that secondary will come together soon and start playing better. If not Henne is going to have to put up points every week in order to make up for that.

I think we will be ok if we can eliminate the penalties and create some turnovers. We dropped 2 or 3 picks against the Jets that could have made that game a blow out.

I continue to hope that G. Wilson will improve his skills as a free safety, and I tip my hat to the posters that were worried about having to strong safeties. I think it is important that Cameron Wake continue to get playing time. He needs to continue to grow as a player. We need him to contribute some more pressure versus good offensive tackles.

We need to take a look at the Jets game plan agianst the Saints. I didnt watch much of the game, but they found a way to nutralize/confuse Brees. If Sanchez doesnt turn the ball over the Jets could easily have won that game.
