For two weeks in a row we have given up huge runs right up the gut, resulting in TD's. Also we can't seem to stop a running QB from gashing the "D" for huge gains. I'm not saying anything new here however I don't see any improvement, which is the alarming part.
Pass coverage has been less than stellar as well as our cover corners leave much to be desired. I don't know if I'm alone here with my thoughts but I'm a long time fan and I'm darn worried that the regular season is so close and I don't see a team that looks nearly ready to compete for anything worth while.

What you are feeling is the frustration of following a team that, this year, seems to have a finality to it. This year could see the last of Tannehill, the last of Gase. They're all on the hot seat and this is the culmination of years of futility. People are seeing that the playoff season was built on the backs of bad teams that had already given up, propped up a QB and Coach to heights that really aren't deserved. There's been coaching turnover and player turnover and a failure to see it all come together, revealing something to work with, is disheartening.

I thought our defense has been playing pretty damn well.

The run up the gut last night was our second team if I am not mistaken and our defensive line has been very effective.

Have we been perfect? No, but all in all I am excited about our defense this year.

Ah the drama from preseason.

I'll just quote you to save you the trouble of responding:

It's a frustrating approach that may or may not work but for now I'll side with Gase as it's his team. I want a win in every single game because I'm selfish with the Fins that way but I want to see a better approach in game 3 or the concern may be real.

But there is a common denominator in all of this mess... Davon Godcheaux. Vincent Taylor, Phillips, Spence even K. Langford have clearly outplayed him.

The defense may have a few more sacks this year but they’re still the same old Miami Dolphin defense.

They will not stop any mobile qbs

They will not cover tight ends

They will not stop the run

They will be at or near the bottom in takeaways

They will continue to let opponents answer after one of our pattened 14 play snail drives.

Sound familiar? Burke and his wide 9 must go!

Hell of a job! They played very well and stepped it up.

Of course there were a few missed tackles etc. But they took it to another level in this game and will only get better.

I'm talking about the starters...

The run up the guy featured players that won’t even be on the team in 2 weeks

Im really surprised people can’t separate this. There are literally guys calling the season in the game thread based on the 2nd half play. Is this the first football season for some? Just curious.

How many mobile Qbs will we see? do any teams see?
What TE have they faced?
They did a hell of a job against the run
Howard already has an INT in the preseason

I guess i also need to point out the obvious...1st team defense
