Defense looks pretty good folks...

It's only the 2nd quarter...but:

1) Timmons is flat out balling, big hits, covering TE's, wrapping up, damn he looks solid.
2) Reshad Jones looks like he has his legs back, 2 fumble recoveries, TFL's, big hits...great energy...
3) Wake getting pressure, Godchaux forcing fumbles, Suh & Hayes with great push...
4) Tank is covering solidly and X had a big hit near the sideline....

Defense has looked decent on the road, but actually looks kind of fearsome at home.

If we can only get the offense to do something/anything, we may have a decent season...
 
Knock on wood they can stay healthy and realize their potential?

I think they're feeding off the home crowd today too. Theres a lot of pep in their step today. Can't complain about a single player.
 
Yes, and you can't even just say "Well they're up against Matt Cassel." Run defense is much improved.

Tankersley and Timmons have made a difference, and Harris is coming on.

I had grave concerns about the defense to start the season, and I'm pleasantly surprised by what I see today.
 
We need them to score more points. Parker won't be back because he's weak and babies his injuries
 
We will struggle in pass coverage vs the Falcons, true. But if we can get to Matt Ryan, it might not be the slaughter you're predicting.
 
Even if Falcons drop 40 on them, I think there is enough evidence to say the run defense is much improved.
 
This was the best defensive game since the shutout of the Chargers last year. The difference is the young kids are playing well. Howard and Tankersley are playing like vets. Godchaux and Taylor are playing very well. And the chemistry is much better than I’ve seen in some time. If Harris can continue to improve on his last 2 games and become what we all hope he can. This will be a very young core of players to build on. But IMHO, the team needs more players on this defense, I’d continue to build, through the draft.

It won't be..Harris and Wake will be missles.

Tank is playing great, X isn't as bad as he was the first 3 weeks. Jones is getting his legs back.

Miami has a solid defense. Not good enough to carry that terrible offense like Jacksonville's Defense can..but add in a legit FS and McMillian and Miami's defense can be pretty damn good.
 
defense has exceeded expectations so far, the offense is putrid and you cant expect the defense to keep holding everyone being on the field all day
