Defense needs to wake up

We head into Sunday's game at Cleveland with the worst defense in the league after 2 weeks. Ranked dead last !!! We are allowing 485.5 yards per game. We are tied for the second worst scoring defense in the league with 30.5 per game. I know it is only two games but damn man.....I expecting a hell of alot more than this garbage. They better find a pash rush this week and wreak havoc on McCoy..... End of story. Wake the F*** up Miami.....

We have also played 2 of the top offenses in the league. Compare our 1st 2 opponents to Buffalo's (KC Chiefs, Raiders). Do you honestly think we would be dead last had we opened the season against those 2 teams?
I'm not trying to sugar coat things, but let's be objective.

Unless we held the Texans to 100 total yards we were going to be ranked pretty badly. Defense was ok against Houston. It does need to get better, but that NE game is going to skew the stats for awhile.

Keep in mind those first two games were against two of the most explosive offenses in the league. I'd like to see a larger sample size before I label them as being garbage. I've got to say though, the thought of Nolan Carroll starting scares the crap out of me. During the NE game, it got to a point where I felt bad for him because he was getting abused so badly.

I expect a much stronger showing on Sunday. Our team tends to play best with its back against the wall. If only they could play with that sense of urgency from the start!

they played us and SD. just for comparison.

I see this game as a big deal. Sparano and all the team needs to win this game. if they dont, they will never get off the snide this entire season. this is it. the defense needs to come through with some big plays whether it be a big stop in red zone or turnovers. Offense needs to put up 20+ points. But defense needs to do its thing too or this team is in trouble. Nolan so far is failing, henceforth sparano failing.
