I like the way that Saban in constructing the defense. We are pretty old on D and he's bringing in alot of youth to come in and learn from the vets. Next year we will probably see alot more youth on the field when the season starts.

I agree.
The young players look solid, Saban has drafted well on both D and O.
Jason and Zack should be more accustomed in year two, after being in the same defensive system their entire career ( Jimmy's D) ...
The secondary is much better than last years...
The D line is stout...
I guess our defensive weakness is depth at the outside LB position.

Yeah i agree but i don't think it's as much of a weakness as people make it out to be. We have Hodge and Spragan who are capable of starting for our team.
 
I was thinking are D was good last year. This year it should be even better some new players with are vets to help them get to know the system should be a great season.

The week before the Patriots game(Week 17) I remember reading an article about how well the defense evolved as the season went on. The D-lineman were saying that by the end of the season they were able to glance back and forth at each other and know what each other were thinking. They were also worried that the front 7 may lose some people during the offseason. Good news is that the starting front 7 stayed intact. :) I expect another big sack season.
 
we will see a lot of are youth get out there this year. they will step up big i feel it.
