Has confused Brady on a few occasions
A first time DC will translate into a much weaker defense next year.

Mangini as DC would be sweet! but what about our old interim HC. He is still under contract, knows the players, and they apparently like him a lot.

I actually agree with this. Plus you want a first time head coach to have a guy or two with NFL head coaching experience on his staff to aid him on some things

Mangini is a damn good defensive mind, as a HC he is ehh, but a DC he is damn good.

Would not want the ego of a former head coach interfering with Philbin establishing himself as coach.
Agree with all of the above. He was a stud DC. I would love this! Weren't there reports that Mangini was advising Ross during the year?

Ross is close to Mangini, but even closer to Dawn Aponte from their Cleveland days.
