Defensive Line or Offensive Line 1st round? and DB 2nd?

We should draft a defensive lineman or offensive lineman. I belive the top linebackers are a reach at our pick # 9 and the defenisve back class is very deep this year so we wouldnt have any problems finding a quality corner in the 2nd round. I think it's 50 -50 we draft a OL or DL right now. you look at the players we could get at that spot. Brown is the only one we should reach to get at # 9. The others arent good enough to draft there. At the defensive lineman position. There are plenty!! Gaines adams, Branch,Mose, Johnson, Okoye. There are plenty good defense lineman we can draft with the # 9 pick which would help our defensive tremendously. So DL 1st round and DB 2nd round. Any Ideas?????

The new head coach probably wont agree with your assesment:confused:
 
i say we go OL in the first round and then draft a QB in the 2nd if we can find a quality QB (maybe troy smith). If not then we should go CB in the 2nd round.
 
DB is a deep position in this draft. I also think you can pick up a good WR later on the first day (after Johnson and Jarrett) there are 4 or 5 good players. If we can't get a top 3 QB, I think you go DL (best value with 3 or 4 good ones Maybe Branch), then OL or LB (a reach except for Thomas).

No D-Line. We are set there no matter what you guys say.

Carter/Roth
Holliday/R. Wright/Vickerson
Wilkenson/M. Wright/Evans
Taylor/Bowens

Oline maybe, but there are none worth drafting at #9 except Joe Thomas but he will be long gone. I say we sign a CB and draft Brian Brohm. Brohm is the Cutler/Rivers type that you know will be the best QB in his draft class. All the hype around Russell and Quinn, then Brohm will steal the show. Jared Gaither was my choice at first, but since he is entering the draft, I can see either him or Levi Brown fall to the 2nd round kinda like Winston Justice + Marcus McNeil did last year. Draft our QB and LT of the future. What a draft this could be.
 
depending on how things fall in the draft I think the value for the 9th pick is going to be either a DB, DL or WR. Darelle Revis, Jammal Anderson and Ted Ginn are my top choices out of those categories and I think they will all be there. after that I think you need to address oline and outside linebacker.
 
Maybe oline....but if Jarrett or Calvin Johnson are available Id go with them. If one of the good QBs is available....I'd do that.

Draft Brohm and have him sit, that way we'll know for sure. Since there is no blue chip OL other than Thomas take a chance on a great QB prospect. This time won't get another crack at one. Sign one offensive linemen whether it be Davis or Steinbach (Mark Dixon? the 2nd). The rest of the OL will fill out. As for the defense throw a 2nd rounder at a LB and a 3rd rounder at a CB. From then on out it's too difficult to predict, maybe even a RB to replace Ricky soon in the 4th round. If possible sign another DL.

definitely wouldnt mind if it ended up like that. only thing is we have no 5th because of harrington. if we could get thomas in free agency and someone like kris dielman or leonard davis.........wow. id be one happy man.
