To start with this is not a Defense flaming post, but one that presents stats with facts...the current problem with our teams currently is not scoring enough points to win games...but consider the points that are shown below and stop to think...

We are currently ranked 5th in YPG...but are 16th in Points Allowed per Game...

We are 4th in YPG in Passing...but 13th in YPG in Rushing(our secondary is our weakness but teams still prefer to run against us, I know to maintain lead)...

We are 6th in Total First Downs Allowed...but 18th in Third Down Conversions...

We are 19th in 4th Down Attempts...but 29th in Attempts Converted...

We are 8th in Penalties Allowed (penalties are not an big issue)...

We are 9th in Total Tackles and 15th in Sacks...

We are 23rd in Passes Defended...and 30th in INTs...

Another set of stats that I researched (anyone else that can rebut these other facts can look them up at NFL.com gameday)...

We currently rank 24th in Points Allowed in the 2nd half of games (82 points/11.7 PPG avg)...I have adjusted for any Fumbles, INTs, returned for a TD, as well as, any safeties...the Defensive teams ranked lower than us are...

32= Ten- 14 PPG (total 98 points in 7 games)...
31= Jets- 13.3 PPG (total 107 points in 8 games)...
30= Hou- 13.2 PPG (total 93 points in 7 games)...
29= Car- 13 PPG (total 104 points in 8 games)...
28= Cinci- 12.5 PPG (total 88 points in 7 games)...
27= GB- 12.4 PPG (total 87 points in 7 games)...
27= Det- 12.4 PPG (total 87 points in 7 games)...
26= Sea- 12.2 PPG (total 86 points in 7 games)...
25= Wash- 11.8 PPG (total 83 points in 7 games)...
24= Miami- 11.7 PPG (total of 82 points in 7 games)...

Also may I add that our Defense has been as less effecient (% wise) in Points Allowed in this category this year since matching it in 1974 (including 2004)...When you look at points scored on them this year, 63% of them came in the 2nd half of games...

Stop to think also that only 3 Turn Overs in the 2nd half of all 7 games were kept in my research, compared to 6 in the 1st half of all games...

Our Defense has been on the field about 30 seconds longer than our Offense in average...

Opinions...

That's because our defense is on the field the entire game.
Sorry... you forgot to read my last sentence..."Our Defense has been on the field about 30 seconds longer than our Offense in average..."

Sorry about that. Wow, that doesn't seem right because our offense is always 3 and out. I guess it does make sense though because at the end of the game when the game has already been decided, we have the ball a lot longer than our opponent. So when it actully matters, our defense is on the field a lot longer.

That's not true. They string together some drives but they choke one opportunity away after another.

No apologies needed...we are all fans here...

Let me clarify this...

Against Pit our O had the ball about 14 minutes in the 1st half...TOP just about even...

Against Buffalo our O had the ball 18 minutes in the 1st half...TOP was ours...

Against Ten our O had the ball 16 minutes in the 1st half...TOP was ours...

Against Houston our O had the ball almost 14 minutes in the 1st half...TOP was theirs...

Against NE our O had the ball over 17 minutes in the 1st half...TOP was ours...

Against NY our O had the ball 14 minutes in the 1st half...TOP was theirs...

Against GB our O had the ball almost 14 minutes in the 1st half...TOP was theirs...

So in essence when we took the field in the 2nd half, our Defense should have never been tired to keep opponets from moving and scoring on them...

It's been a problem for at least 10 years, if not longer. The defense looks good, but when they need to make a play, or stop somebody at a critical point in the game, they seem to fold up.

A lot of it is still the fact that our offense has been completely unable to get us a lead early in the game.

to keep our offense on the field, there offense, off the field, our defense off the field, WE NEED TO RUN THE BALL!!! That wont happen with mularkey callin the plays>>>>>>>Period!:tantrum:

well thats cus we get behind and our offense cant capitalize and our D can't force turnovers

Dropping INT's like it's a fashion.
