Per Rotoworld. When asked Monday what led to Delmas being benched in favor of Michael Thomas Coach Philbin replied "everything", "Thomas has simply outplayed Delmas"
 
Except Delmas played a majority of the defensive snaps....
 
It was a behavior thing, but Joe elected not to throw him under the bus.
 
odd. from the analyses i've read so far it had seemed delmas was actually playing well the first couple games.
 
Yep, usually when you are benched for the opening plays, its a disciplinary thing. I wonder what he did...
 
this coaching staff is retarded. you're already down a starting safety and we bench our other starter for what reason?
 
Y'know, this is the kind of **** that makes me think we need a new coach. This is a RECURRING thing with Philbin, where players are not played or are snubbed in some way because of unspecified "attitude" problems, rather than their actual ability to help us win games. Anybody think the other players are happy when this **** happens?
 
Man I wonder what really happened? If it's warranted then fine, but if this is another joe philbin "my dick is bigger than yours thing", then we need to can his ass sooner than later. I wouldn't mind seeing Lazer as an interem.
