I haven't been this confident since the Red Sox went into Game 7 at New York in 2004.

Our hated rivals are ripe for humiliation today, so let's give them and their fans what they so richly deserve. Anything less than a 10-point victory will be a serious dissappointment, I believe. I don't think this is a jinx statement, as the Jets are too injured. That said, a bad day by Gus and mistakes with penalties on the O-Line and coverage by our jeckle and hyde DBs can be the only thing holding us back.

However, if this team IS headed in the right direction, we could really use a statement game -- a blowout victory over a division rival. Nothing would make us happier.

Who's with us?

Damn right! I want us to get detained for terrorism, that's how wide I want the margin of victory!

All I want today is a "150 yds/2 TD's" game for Brown. and that would guarantee a victory :dolphins:

Not to mention possibly a Brown OROY with Cadillac having an awful game that everyone saw yesterday.

LOL who were you confident for? NY or Boston? Please don't tell me you were confident in Boston, cuz that would make that total number out to be...............................1.

After the DL injuries I really thought the line would go up today but so far it's actually inched down and settled at 8.5 most places although I can still get a 9. Agreed, the Jets are in shape to get handled rather decisively, except for that old NFL truism that the talent bases are virtually identical, so I always laugh/cringe when phrases are thrown around like, "they are terrible" in the NFL. That's not as prevalent here as among typical NFL fans but still far too common. But it's the reason sportsbooks LOVE the NFL, people tearing up their tickets after that terrible team suddenly was equal to the opposition.

I'm rooting much harder for the Chargers than the Dolphins today, even though I'll continue my money line roll over on Indy. I try to maintain focus long term and I really don't believe today's outcome means squat to the Saban regime's ultimate bottom line. But attaching that L to the Colts will boost the awe of the '72 Dolphins immeasurably, since the haters can now smell 19-0, if not flat out expect it. The Colts are now down to -7 today. I'm still amazed at the expectation they will play subpar at home. The Chargers will have to play great. At least they have some premier talent to perhaps enable it.

this team is capable of going out and winning the last 3 games, and the last 6 in a row. This is where it starts. Saban has this team in the right direction...we had 4 wins last year, now we have playoffs in the wayyyy back of our minds (by that, i mean its improbable, but not impossible). We're getting ounger talent, and we're definately going to make a statement today. Expect a win like the day we beat the cowboys on thanksgiving.

The Jets are missing everything. Their QB is inexperienced, young, and has never played us. We just came off an great defensive win over one of the best RBs in the NFL. If we go into this game with the same attitude, cedric houston will be no problem. Passing wise this team can be strong, thats something to watch. However, i think our secodary can handle them good enough. Offensively, the pass protection will be pretty good without half the jets D-Line. Big day for the running game. Passing will have its difficulties, with Ty Law in the secondary. Still, bg opprtunities today, miami needs to get the job done.

exactly, wow, even the 2005 Colts couldn't get it done...

This should be a tell as to whether the team's character is changing. We've had the longest history of handling success poorly. A dominating beat-down is what I want; let's see if they can deliver.

Make that two.....Boston won that game before they ever stepped on the field....and it was over after two innings.

If you didn't bet on Boston before that game, you missed a gift.

That's exactly what should happen if this team is where they think they are....if it does man, I'm telling you, that is going to be one beautiful sign of things to come.

Boston had won 3 in a row before that game, and they were ready to win. I had no doubts they would win. The day before the game, my friend ( yankees fan) went up to me and said "I can't believe it". I told him the game was tonight, and he says "the game's already over, the yankees choked". Every yankee fan knew what would happen, and it did
