Employer/HR/Union mediation is the typical first step for a hostile work environment accustion.

Sir, I would ask that you refrain from associating any levity into this situation. This is of a dire and serious nature. Any undue release of said player before all the information is collected and evaluated could result in a lawsuit for damages and monies, present and future, of said player. In accordance with the CBA the player can not be suspended for more than 4 weeks at which time the situation will be re-evaluated and further action or inaction will be taken.

Ding ding ding! Just because he wants his members to work it out doesn't mean he is letting the team off the hook.
 
I'd love this to resolve asap, i'd fine Richie bigtime, bring him back to play the rest of the season, put Martin on IR and offer him a significant settlement to terminate his contract - I don't want him back in any shape or form - I'd take 5 Richie Incognito's over cry baby Martin...

To me its a C.Y.A moment for them. No one has named the Player Rep for the Phins through all this. Alot of name calling going out at Wake, Odrick, Starks and many others over this.

The NFLPA shouldn't be immune from any of this.
 
Whatever, it probably won't work but I hope it does. This has turned into a ****ing circus, Barbara ****ing Walters was talking about it today. I just want this **** to be over and the focus to go back to football.
 
Will never happen.

His parents the lawyers driving all of this will never have a sit down that would put Martin stating facts and events.

Right now, Martin's camp has all the ammo. Voicemails, texts, "word" that the Dolphins coaches asked Incognito to "toughen up" Martin, etc etc....

No way, Martin's camp would allow him to sit down and speak to legal representatives from the NFLPA and say..."Well he only texted me twice, and he only left one voice mail, and this was all 7 monthd ago, and that was really it. It was more, you know...my job and not being good, and possibly not getting re-signed that really stressed me out." etc..etc...
 
NFLPA caught in the middle of this, they have a duty to defend both players, so there looking for a way out of this since they cant only defend 1.
 
This is what the coaching staff should have done months ago.

The fact that we haven't heard from the rep (John Dennehy)(sp) is a good thing. He is legally obligated to keep it confidential, I actually looked up the rep to see who it was. My first thought was this is good a seasoned vet that comes off as grounded and intelligent.

I finally know who it is now. So him being the SP teams snapper, would he have been around the offensive line in meetings? Because like Mark Schlereth just said, meetings and position coaches are compartmentilized (sp), and how the offensive line as a whole would know if something was going on.

My whole point to wanting to know the player rep, is the investigation started with Martin people making material known. The UNION was not involved up to that point. They were Johnny come lately to this situation. Which to me poked holes in Martin story from the start. It has been a assertion of mine since the start.
