Demotion of Dolphins’ Allen causes fan and media frenzy

Yeah, it's a nice article. Short and straight to the point. I'm one of those dolfans who wants Allen in there at all times. He showed last season that he could very well be a ballhawk. ( Especially in the second Patriots game). Good job Hugo.

Fan and media frenzy over Allen? You've got to be kidding!!!!! I know you've been around here long enough to know that your headline is complete and utterly false. i would've read the article because it's Dolphin related, but from the title alone it says to me that the author knows nothing about the Dolphins or it's fan base.

I agree with CanaFish to some extent. "Frenzy" is an over-the-top adjective not often reflecting fans' reactions. I'd say his demotion was met more with "relief"/"skepticsim"/" discussion"/"contention"/"agreement".. or something along those lines than "frenzy." While many of us still have high hopes for JA based on his athleticism, not wanting to waste another #1 and/or watching him go somewhere else and excel through better coaching, I don't think there are many, based on his past performance who're worked up into a frenzy either way. Just IMO

I wish we'd leave Allen at one position and not move him around. Also, if Crocker (who was getting toasted many times with the Falcons) moved ahead of Jason Allen on the depth chart, then how bad is Jason Allen??

Nice article. The title of an article is meant to draw people in. The content within is what makes it a good article or not. That was a good article.

im not ready for another season where our best safety sits on the bench most of the year... see Yeriamiah bell : 06'

Man that was kind of harsh don't you think?

I agree with your point...but with less of a bite about it.

The only "frenzy" Allen has ever caused was when everyone was shocked when he was selected. LOL!

Thanks for the feedback, all!

In any case, I'm fairly sure that there have been enough forum threads and news articles on the Jason Allen subject to warrant the "frenzy" connotation.

Guess it depends on your definition of "frenzy".

Canadianfishfan is probably just sore because I've torn into his viewpoints at times (that and he seems to lack basic tact and/or respect). It's easy to use ugly adjectives and condescending remarks on a forum. We all know that.

I hardly take anyones responses in these forums personally.. learned that long ago. Tact or respect? Hey man, you chose to use this forum as shameless self promotion of your article. I hardly used any ugly or condescending remarks, yet gave my opinion,(as your article is opinion), on an attempt at sensationalism by you.

There are a plethora of threads and comments about members of S. Fla media who 'blow things outr of proportion' or report 'falsehoods'. If you wish to be part of the media, selection of language is critical to what it is you choose to project. The word "frenzy" is careless and inaccurate. i doub't i would hear Chris Mortensen quoting a message board as to what the 'media and locals' have to say about a particlar team.

If your sensitive to remarks about your work, why post them here.. unless all you're really looking for is for people to pat you on the back.

Nice article... but misleading. Not trying to be cruel or insulting. And if you take it that way.. well thats on you.
