Before he tore his ACL, Dixon was a leading candidate for the Heisman. He went from a sure first rounder to probably a 4th rounder as a result of this. He appears to have fully recovered from his ACL tear. His combine numbers were better than Josh Johnson's numbers and some have compared him to McNair. Would you guys take him in the 4th round? They did a nice story on him in the April 14th issue of SI.

P:ersonally I like Josh Johnson better and we may get him in rd 4-5.

I like Johnson as well...I think it would be worth taking a chance on either one with a 4th rounder...they both have a lot of upside and could be a steal. I just haven't seen Johnson play against real teams, like Dixon has in the PAC-10.

i think Dixon would be good. if he's 100 percent, i'd like his mobility as a backup n hewho knows he might be a great starter. AND IF he is 100 percent, i can definitely see a comparison to a young Mcnair.. if we dont take him, i say we take U.S.C's John David Booty

dennis dixon was never a sure first rounder..........

I'm sorry Nappy, I am just quoting page 44 of the April 14, 2008 issue of SI...

"For five months Oregon has deployed considerable resources to another project: reconstructing the quarterback (Dixon) who was once the nation's best, and preparing him for the the NFL draft on April 26-27."

Might take a late round flier at him, but at 190-195lbs I would cringe every time he got hit. Appears to be a very good athlete though. He could turn into something given a few years.

Dude, for the 50th time. Dennis Dixon blows and will never play QB in the league.

Dennis Dixon was a great college QB, he was never a sure first round as a pro QB.

Great athlete, great potential just not a first round guy.

He was easily the best quarterback in the country when he was healthy, but he's a bit too skinny to make it in the pros. He doesn't really read defenses all too often, and his arm strength/accuracy might come under fire. I saw some BEAUTIFUL passes by him, however, and I really think if you put 20 lbs on him you have a legitimate quarterback prospect

IM sure you have a great reasoning for this. I hate when people just automatically give up on people out of college you have absolutly no right to make that statement.

and how abou you give your sig a rest. were not picking him .

"matt ryan will never be a good qb for the 100th time" (just about as smart of a statement as yours')

i like dixon and ill be happy if we pick him up in the 5th or 6th but it wont get me angry if we dont get him.

I didnt know I needed to point out the reasons Dennis Dixon wont be able to play QB in the league. I thought they were pretty much obvious to everyone. Even if they arent you can go alot of places to find them. If you really need me to point out why then I can. Just let me know.

On the other hand I would like you to point out the reasons you believe that Ryan wont have success at QB in the league. Because, I havent seen those anywhere. If you are sitting on them, why dont you share?

Dennis Dixon, I dont think will play QB in this league. He played in the spread in college so he is going to have to learn to make NFL type reads and throws. Thin especially in the lower body. Not the best decision maker. Honestly I think he made a mistake not playing baseball. I think he has more of a future there than in the NFL.
