Wow, that sucks. He'll probably best best remembered for receiving that pass from Bird after the steal and the lay-up that followed against the Pistons. The radio call is classic. RIP

Actually DJ only won three titles....two with the Celtics ('84 and '86) and one with the Supersonics ('79). He was a hell of a player and always gave my Sixers a tough game. 52 is too early to die.

Woops meant to put all-star.Great player.He played well in the Celts system.Seems like yesterday when he scored that layup on the Bird in bounds pass.Too sad.

A terrible tragedy.. DJ was a very underrated (and GREAT) player. Bird called him the best player he had ever played alongside. That's a hell of a complement..

It's really not the Celtics year.
