Denver Post: Xanders has been told he's not a finalist

Seems like a good candidate on paper, but there was something about him that felt a little weird to me. He trained Elway and then packed his bags, something just doesn't add up IMO.

Why would miami eliminate a candidate that they liked when they arent even sure if their "finalists" arent even interested in the job

Here is hoping that the recent setbacks cause us to reconsider Xanders. We need someone with proven talent evaluation skills.

Yeah, that would be just like us. We tell Xanders he's out then when one of our "finalists" turns us down we go crawling back to him and say, "uh... hey, would you mind interviewing again?"

He'd just laugh and then hang up and laugh some more.

Because... Dolphins.

I choose not to look at it that way. The 'Dolphins' aren't around anymore. Whatever 'this' debacle is, its a Ross/Petersen production.

Hell, with all of those ex-NY Jets people in Ross ear its like the Jets are destroying this place from inside.

All anyone can hope for is that this guy sells the team one day and we become the Dolphins (the team of undefeated 1972 and Shula, Griese, Czonka, Marino, Marks brothers, Offerdahl, Thomas, Taylor, Warfield, Fernandez, Morris, Scott, Brian Cox's middle finger salute to Bills fans, Fake Spike game, 1984 records, 1985 defeat of unstoppable Bears team, Keith Byars snow angel in Dallas, Marino's playoff game against a Montana led Chiefs team sending Montana into retirement etc., etc.) again.

yeah. perhaps you shouldn't eliminate anyone until you are sure who is actually willing to take the job.

The Palm Beach Post reported the three finalists are Cleveland assistant general manager Ray Farmer, Dolphins assistant GM Brian Gaine and Tampa Bay director of player personnel Dennis Hickey.

Farmer is considered the frontrunner.

And Lake Dawson called back for 3rd interview. :ponder:
