Denver Roadtrip

I live in West Palm Beach and headed to Denver in a couple weeks.
I was looking for some local Phish fans up there and stumbled across this site.
We normally have a group of 15+ and try to get together for one road game a year.
This year we have 10.
We have people from Miami, North Carolina, Chicago, Alabama and Tennessee.
Half of us will be getting there on Thursday 10/30.
Looking for some good local places for cold beer and good wings (I try to avoid chains).
I love dives.

If you come through CO Springs stop by Kelly Obrians...Its a Fins bar...Bunch of us will be going to the game and tailgating up there too.

We are staying at the Sheraton Downtown Denver.
Seems to be a pretty sweet place.

What I really need to know is if we need to rent a car.
Went to Chicago a couple years ago and found out we didn't need to.

There is a lot to do downtown, so you probably don't need a car. You will have no lack of eating (and drinking) establishments within walking distance from your hotel. You will need find some transport to the game though.
