I am a complete lurker and don't post much but I felt compelled to be a whiney bitch today. I have never been less excited for Dolphins Monday Night Game in the 35+ years I have been rooting for this team. I think the fact that I totally drank the kool-aid this summer sent me over the edge when we totally crapped the season away. I am also a big fan of tradition and would have liked to kept our unis somewhat the same as they were so good but Jimmy had to mess with the logo and colors and now they do not look anything like the ones from the 70's and 80's that are synonymous with our tradition. Seeing those unis tonight will be great until I see the new ones again next week.

I know, just don't watch then right? I never miss a game and have paid thousands of dollars for NFL ticket so I can see all of their games up here in Ohio. Why is this team so screwed up! :badmood::badmood:
 
It's hard to get excited about these last few games when you know the team is already out of the playoffs. The current coaching staff and many of these players won't be back next season. So there is not much to look forward to in tonight's game or any of the remaining games.

Unless you have Tannehill, Miller and Parker for $1 million in Draftkings!!

I got screwed yesterday when many of my players had awful games so my fantasy playoff chances are already over. I guess for those who have guys playing tonight that's one thing to look forward to. For me the season is basically over. Already looking forward to the coaching search, free agency and the draft even though I don't really have much hope that any of those will go the Dolphins way either.

Not a good idea to use Miami's offensive players for fantasy football. They have only scored 3 or more TD's in 2 games.

More power to you. For me it's just disappointing to see another season end without getting to watch the Dolphins in the playoffs. Probably will have to watch the Patriots win another damn Superbowl.
 
I am guilty too of drinking that kool aid in the off season.

I was very excited for this season. I was against them signing Suh, but once it was done I was totally on board.

More than anything else, more than the pathetic start, to Philbin, Coyle & Lazor being canned, to the O-line injuries and Cam being lost

the QB play is what is most disappointing.

I was pretty pissed last year when the jests beat us, but I thought the QB play was something that could be counted on going forward,

something that the team would build on and take the next few steps to be able to seriously contend.

Watching RT stank it up in most of those games has been a royal pain in the gluteous maximus
 
I mostly agree. For a MNF game it just doesn't have that excitement. The throwbacks are very cool but still, we are 5-7 and not going to the Playoffs. I got drunk on the kool aid this off season and have never been let down harder by this team than this year. It doesn't help tonight's game is against a 5-7 Giants team which doesn't add any excitement. I hope we get the win tonight but I agree that this may be the least excited I've been for a Fins MNF game sadly.
 
I actually find watching the games now less stressful. Since it doesn't really matter whether we win or lose I find myself stopping the game throughout and rewinding plays so I can see individual players performances...good or bad. Totally focused on what we have to work with starting next year...
 
I'm not excited about the game. It'll be cool to see the field and retro jerseys but I'm so far removed from being depressed as a Dolphins fan at this point.
 
You can't be depressed before a game, especially on Monday Night!

Don't think about the season record.
Think of every game as a fresh start.
Enjoy any win Miami gets.
 
I'll tune in and out. I'm more excited for the season finale of Fargo than the Dolphins on Monday night. Never thought I would get to this point but so many bad seasons and horrible management decisions have brought me here. I am looking forward to the uniforms. At least one week we get to look good even if we play bad.
