Derek Carr is already better than Tannehill!!

I'm interested in hearing about this bogus call in the pats favor...did not watch game

Raiders got the ball down at about the 2 yard line on what looked like a legitimate PI call against the Patriots. Raiders called a quick run to McFadden who punched it in, but were called for what was holding (maybe hands to the face?) that not only looked questionable but really didn't impact the play at all.

Carr made some nice throws and the interception at the end really wasn't his fault. He threw a fastball into tight coverage, got the receiver square, and the guy just popped it up in the air. Denarius Moore, I think.

Ok will have to check that out...

For everyone crying about Wake and OV peeling into coverage. Belichick had Wilfork peel into coverage on the last play where he had the interception.

Well I have no doubts that if Tannehill starts he will struggle as usual. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dolphins defense makes Derek Carr look like Aaron Rodgers.

Or you could show me how Derek Carr is already better than Ryan Tannehill. Give it a shot please.

I'd still like you to explain how Derek Carr is better already than Tannehill is now. Why would we wager something that isn't going to be determined for a few years minimum?

"because the raiders almost beat the pats"

Miami's also had the most drops in the nfl. He's still played poorly, but he's not receiving a ton of help either.

I really like David Carr. I can't believe Bortles, Manzel, and Bridgewater were picked over him. He's gonna be a pretty good QB. I would take Carr and Bortles over Tannehill

I watched the entire game with curiosity as the Raiders and especially Carr looked far better than I expected. Carr seemed to be more in control of the offense, with much better pocket presence than Tannehill. He was more accurate and threw an easier ball to catch with better touch. He actually seemed to scan the field and go through his reads, which Tannehill rarely appears to do. His release point was higher, leading to fewer dropped passes than Tannehill, who is just north of uncle Rico sometimes as per release point.

Carr allowed the Raiders to have a sense of flow moving the ball down the field, something that I rarely see with Tannehill. Tannehill has his moments, but how often do you see the Dolphins offense get into a groove with Tannehill behind Center? I watched Carr and thought to myself that yeah, this guy gets it, he has the ability as a rookie to actually be in control of an offense and to consistently move the ball down the field, which in terms of team synergy is huge- it gives the defense more time to rest and the offense actually has the time to get comfortable as opposed to the consistently choppy Dolphins offense, heavy on the 3 and outs with Tannehill at the helm.

I had the Patriots defense in 9 out of 10 Fanduel games, I wasn't cheering for Carr or looking for the best in him. But I was impressed, and the thing about it is that if you look at just the box score you might think that Tannehill actually had the better game. Hardly the case.

How about a friendly wager??? Derek Carr is a franchise quarterback unlike his brother!! Tannehill should be holding a clipboard.....another IRELAND BUST!!!!!!!!

In all fairness, David Carr looked like a potential franchise QB his rookie year. Its tough being a rookie on an expansion team. He wasn't developed properly.

How do you think that Tannehill rates in terms of throwing an easy ball to catch? He throws innacurate yet sometimes catchable passes, bullets when he doesn't have to and that low release point makes his throws tougher to follow. Matt Moore throws a much easier ball to catch with far better touch. Combine that with Moore actually being able to go deep to Wallace and those are reasons enough to start Moore against the Raiders.

As a sidenote, the Bears waived QB David Fales and signed him to their PS. I would have poached him and stashed him on the 53 as a 3rd QB. Not the biggest QB, not the biggest arm, but he can play. Accurate, can move well, good game manager and he knows how to move a team down the field. I like him as a developmental QB.

this list is obviously fluid on a week to week basis...at least i don't have to read any geno smith over tannehill stuff after that disaster performance from him last night...

His numbers might look decent but he should of had about four picks. Throw some nice balls but also threw some straight garbage throws. I do like their offensive scheme though.
