Derek Fisher to Knicks or Lakers

Nice little story here. Fisher really wants to play for the Knicks. His 11 month old daugher has a cancer tumor in her eye. She is getting treated in NYC. The only 2 places that have a hospital with proper care are LA and NY. She is NY right now getting care and has been for a while. Fisher's agent called the Knicks to see if they can work something out. Knicks have 17 guys on the roster now and need to reduce, not add but for Fisher they might try to get him in somehow. Fisher has a better chance returning to the Lakers and even being a starter, but he wants NY first so he doesn't have to up-root his daughter.

I am a huge Derek Fisher fan. I would love to see hi in L.A. again, as I feel he should have never left. However, if New York is a better fit, then go right ahead DFish. He is one heck of a guy who deserves anything he can get.

Kudos to the Jazz as well for being so understanding about the whole situation.

I would love to get D Fish in here. He could provide another strong veteran presence and a good backup PG/SG who can hit the clutch shot and defend. And though ive never been a fan of the teams hes been on, the stuff hes going through makes you want to root for him. So I hope Isiah can make a spot for him even though we need to shorten the roster down as it is because hes a player we can use and he's a good father to his child.
