I know most of the attention in rookie camp has gone to to Allen and vick,
but have you guys noticed Derek Hagan?
Man , that dude looked impressive. He made some nice catches including
a one handed stab ( ala Oronde Gadsden).
Don't get me wrong, I know its a rookie camp, but you gotta like what
ya see from this guy....
:D

As an ASU grad I try to watch the Sun Devils play as often as possible, and Hagan has been a clutch player year after year, including over 1,000 yards receiving the last three seasons. I am glad he was "passed over" by many teams as he could be our Jerry Rice/Rod Smith for many years to come....I am not saying he will be as good as those two but he should be a solid receiver for many years.

Thanks for the info Roman. My understanding was that the only reason he
fell to the third round is because he had the "dropsies' at the NFL combine.
So he had ONE bad day in a 3 or 4 year period...
Its our gain and the rest of the NFls loss..:dolphins:

I see him like an Orande and Booker Mix. He will definately contribute this year and I'm anxious to see Welker in more 3 and 4 WR sets too. e should be explosive if we stay healthy

Well, he is the highest drafted reciever since Chambers

He's faster then Orande and Booker.

sweet roman... i didnt finish at asu, but i did start there.
watchin asu, i can honestly say im hyped about us picking up hagan...
youre right, he will be a stable wr for us for many years...

I think Hagan might have been the reason we didn't get a WR in the 1st round. Do you think Saban saw something in Hagan that no other coaches did? Maybe he was just as good as Chad Jackson and Santonio Holmes. Hopefully we ended up with 2 first round talents in this draft!

Hagan is overrated and useless!!!!!!! The dolphins should have drafted Maurice Stovall. Mo Sto is 6'6'' 225 lbs. big, fast, physcial, intelligent possesion reciever. He's a bright kid, went to notre dame and played in a pro-style offense and he was coached by charlie weis- a member of the bill belicheck/bill parcells coaching tree, and we all know czar saban loves those types of players. Mo would have been an excellent compliment to the speedy chris chambers, and would have been able to contribute immediately due to his size over the smaller CBs in the AFC East. Mo Sto will be a probowler in the future is a young keyshawn in the making, without the attitude and much more mature and intelligent than keyshawn.

I was just about to start a thread about this. Hagan looks the most impressive so far. His footwork looks incredible. He is getting away from those DBs in rookie camp with ease. Things are looking really good right now for him. I see a #3 WR spot waiting for him come opening day if he keeps it up. The real test will come in mini-camps and preseason against NFL caliber DBs.

I think while living next to Ricky Williams' tent, you may have gotten a whif of whatever he was smoking.

I don't think either one has ever run in the 4.45 range (like Hagan).
That is very good speed for a taller WR.

Keyshawn is the most over rated 1st rd WR pick in NFL history. He's done nothing special in this league. Even Chrebet outplayed him when they were both with the Jets.
