Does any one think that Hagan is going to develop into a solid #2 reciever? I would love to see it because I'm always high on our young talent and I never like to give up on them. I remember the whole Manny Wright thing. I always wanted him to come back because I thought he would be great with Rod Wright, who I also think will develop into a godd DT/DE.

I think that this is the tell all year for Hagan, he has had enough time to "get it", If he is still just under average this year..the new regime will likely send him packing.

He had nice hands in college, but dropping way to many balls in the NFL!

If he doesn't have a good year, He will be gone.

The only one holding Derek Hagan back from being a Top Flight Wr is Derek Hagan himself.

He can get open, he can leap, he has decent speed.

A Solid QB would Help DH...alot....our offense was a wreck last yr, yet Hagan managed 21 or more catches for 1st downs. Which isn't terrible for a guy who had 300 yds or so receiving and caught 33 balls in total.

So 21 of 33 catches were productive plays, not little dump off passes, that is not too bad actually.

Hmm..

I say we get rid of Booker and let Hagan be the possesion reciever.

Booker's as good as gone..but I doubt the tuna is gonna go into the season with Ginn and Hagan as the starters.

What makes you say Booker is gone? I thought we had him till 2009. Nt that I wan hm for that long, I was jst wondering if you heard something I didn't.

It would be a safe bet that Marty will not see the field for us this season, he is moving into the "pay off" yr of his contract, he will be owed 4 million or more if we keep him.

The thing about Hagan is we can look at his drops, but Booker dropped more balls, and no Receiver for us had a very good yr, we had whole gaggle of players with 300 yds or so.

Hagan and our entire WR corp just did not see the ball very much.

I believe Booker led the NFL in drops this yr.

His cap number next year is like 4.9 million, meaning he will likely be cut.

Yeah we will need a guy for Wr this yr, not that Hagan and Ginn are just garbage, no one could have done very well for us this season.

Surprised me how productive Hagan was relatively speaking, when 2/3's of your catches are 1st downs you'd have to say he was productive.

Thanks for the update. I didn't know he was going to be making that much. I hope we bring some one in besides drafting a rookie. Maybe Chad Johnson or Bernard Berrin. Pu Ginn in he slot and have Hagan and one of the two on the out sides. That way Ginn is matched up with linebacker or nickle back.

Agree, Hagan has what it takes and the time is NOW, Lets hope that Robiskie's comments are somewhat of a wakeup call to Hagan...If not this new regime may send him packing.

horrible hands. ive seen him drop more balls than any other receiver in the team.
get rid of him
