The way it all plays out is that we need to start rooting for the power houses. I still think the division is a stretch because the Pats would have to finish 9-7 while we would have to win out due to tie breakers. With that said, I believe the top 5 spots are taken. Baltimore wins the North, Indianapolis wins the South, San Diego wins the West and I'll still take New England to win the East. Finally, Denver will snag that 5 seed with an 11-5 or even 12-4 record. We need to root for all these teams to win as many games as possible (except maybe the Pats.)
This leaves one spot for these teams.
Jacksonville 5-4 (We play them and can get the tie breaker there)
NY Jets 5-4 (Do you really think they will be there in the end?)
Kansas City 5-4 (Huge win yesterday getting the tie breaker)
Cincinnati 4-5 (Have some tough games left and look in shambles)
After that there is a mess at 3-6 with us, Buffalo, Houston, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. There is no doubt to me that we are the best of that bunch despite being beat by 3 of them. So le't put all of them to rest.
Let's look at some remaining schedules:
Jacksonville- NYG, @ Buf, @ Mia, Ind, @ Ten, NE, @ KC. That's brutal man!
Kansas City- Oak, Den, @ Cin, Balt, @ SD, @Oak, Jax. Dang, also tough!
New York- Chi, Hou, @ GB, Buf, @ Min, @ Mia, Oak. Not to tough
Cincinnati- @ NO, @ Cle, Balt, Oak, Ind, @ Den, Pitt. Some tough some easy.
Now you guys all know how our schedule is. I think the only team with an easier path is the Jets. I don't see any of these teams going 10-6. Trust me, 9-7 with the correct tie breaks, will get us a 6 seed. Games that we can afford to lose are, NE, Buffalo and Indianapolis. Let's just take it week by week and hope we have a shot come Christmas night. That's all we can really ask for the way this season started.
